I think the reason they haven't added EoM is because they don't like adding ships that fit a niche they already have, and EoM is basically the same idea as the T2 Khanid ships with slightly different (ie. more) skins. Though it would still be freaking awesome to have them, god those ships are amazing looking.

Also I was always confused by that weird fact that there are two gallente/minmatar factions but someone pointed out a long time ago its actually one Gallente/Minmatar and one Minmatar/Gallente. Not a huge distinction overall, but when it comes to how the ships were designed it makes a difference. Keep it in mind if you're going to theorycraft some new ideas that they already have Calari/Gallente, to "balance it" you'd need to cook up a Gallente/Caldari which would mean something like an armor tanking ecm boat.

Gallente options - Serps, Angels, ebil bunnies
Matar - Serps, Angels, Bloods
Amarr - Bloods, Sansha
Caldari - Sansha, ebil bunnies

Personally.. when I see EoM.. I see Caldari, not gallente. Rail using shield tankers (they use shields? memory feeling fuzzy here) sounds like Caldari to me. In Amarr vessels.

Why not introduce some EoM.. Caldari/Amarr and balance it out to 3 factions a piece. Matar-Gall have two seperate roads together. I'm just not sure how to make EoM unique. I think that's CCPs problem too perhaps. Ingame EoM rats.. they are Rail/shields.. sounds like Caldari already, just with different ships. Eh. Change that and perhaps..

Make a dedicated missile/armor tanking lineup. Open mids for webs n TPs instead of tank.. or instead of an ECM boat..

A missile spitting, TD (tracking disrupters - Amarr style like sent/arbi/recons) bonused boat. Not being effected by transversal, and then gimping your enemy that is.. I'd say that sounds more interesting to me rather than another ecm boat plugged in new skin.. especially when the generally thought is that TD is fairly balanced ok, and ecm is not. Adjust ECM to make more ppl content with it before slapping it on a new ship.

Oh.. and give all factions pirate BCs and/or dessies, please.

So after finally getting a Gone Berserk mission, so I could see with my eyes and refresh my memory on EoM.

They do use shield boosters (change the lore of this), rails, and.. missiles. In Amarr hulls. Kin type dmg dealt.

Any thoughts on implementing EoM for Caldari/Amarr to balance out each race having 3 potential options.. and making them missile/armor tank spitters with either 1 or all 3 having bonused TDs? Yes.. could argue that is sorta like amarr recons.. minus the T2 resists, neut/nos bonuses, and drone bonus. Instead EoM ones sacrifice the neut/nos ability (and not step on bloods toes too) for more dps.

For a ROUGH example.. an EoM cruiser could be..

Special ability: 25% hml, ham, aml RoF bonus
Caldari rank: 5% kin missile dmg (or velocity)
Amarr rank: 5% tracking disruptor bonus

5-4-6 H-M-L slot layout with 4 launcher points.

Idk.. I don't even have a toon with Amarr skilled up well, anywhere. I just think it would be cool to balance this out and be fair for all races. And EoM, yes Khanid skin.. look kickass and be fun to see. Thought I had a very rare, somewhat good idea on my part here! Rip it apart, add, approve, disapprove.. help blanket the thought of a pirate ecm boat..

since when do gurista rats use drones? or the last time you saw a cruor or ashimnu hull blood raider rat? or tracking bonuses on sansha player flyable hulls? or tp bonuses on the dram, cyn, or mach? and i'm sure there is a difference for the serp too, i've never seen the rats/missions before (probably damps on rats and not crazy webs?).

the pirate faction ships for players don't have really anything to do with the rats themselves. so by all means if the missile/armor role was a niche CCP wanted a race of flyable pirate ships to have, it wouldn't be an issue using EoM. unfortunately, it is a role already taken by khanid ships. and there really is a nice selection of these ships cruiser and below. the out cry for a pirate/EoM missile/armor pirate faction would be nearly silenced if there was a khanid battleship (t1, t2, or navy). i still think they should have made the navy geddon a khanid navy ship, imo. the pirate faction ships all have unique roll to play out... halfway thru this statement i reallized how not different serp and angel ships from gal and minmatar ships. while amarr has bloods very similar, but the wierd shield thing for sansha. caldari has since gotten screwed since they changed gurista ships into drone boats (don't even mention their missile velocity bonus as a benefit for caldari pilots...).

all weapon types have a pirate faction who specialize in them, except missiles... i really believe it's time for EoM to happen. or even if it's not EoM or Amarr/caldari - since amarr already has 2 pirate factions that use lasers, they don't have it that bad off. though i might hesitate a lil to give either minmatar or gallente 4 pirate factions using their skills, a pirate faction with caldari skills and missiles as their specialization should be a reality.

Hulls already exist in-game (and are drop dead sexy).

Just needs some space allotted to them (New Nullsec NPC Regions sounds like a good addition to the game).

Rails + Armor + Decent Speed

Caldari and Amarr Skills Required.
