Hi guys,

Love the game i have been playing for around a month or so and as a noobie money is slow...everything is slow lol. But I love the ships and am a bit of a collector...well would be collector. I have bought all four of the content packs and they are great. Is there any view of in the future making a few different types of them for maybe higher level new players?. For example i would like to see a mining one with a retriever in it and some rigs so i know how one should be set up. another one with a core scanner ship set up an entry level pvp ship like the incursus or something just to get the next level of ships skills and gear starting. I would love to be able to have one of purchase of any type of ship ingame come with my omega account, you know sub for 3 mnths and u can select any T1 ship, 6mnths any T2 ship 12mnths any ship. One only selection tho, once u have picked that ship it disappears from the ship options you have. Anyhow mostly because i have real money i can buy ships with to further my game play, but not as much game time/knowledge to make all the money some of the shipscost. I really love the missions and have a few ventures and merlins from doing them, are there different ships at the next level of missions too? and gear for them? Thanks heaps guys am really enjoying the game

Buying a PLEX, selling it for ISK, and then buying whatever ships you want with said ISK is probably the best way to indulge your collecting(short of earning the ISK with which to collect those ships in-game of course). I wouldn't hold my breath for more content packs; It feels like CCP is promoting and selling them a lot less aggressively these days which may indicate they aren't bringing in a lot of profit.

You can get in-game money by buying PLEX from CCP (the company that makes EVE) and selling the items in-game.

In effect, you will be paying for someone else's subscription in exchange for in-game currency.

Do note that once in-game....
- PLEX cannot be "reversed" (see: you cannot buy a PLEX in-game and have it refunded).

- PLEX is treated just like every other item in them game (see: if someone destroys your ship with the PLEX in the cargohold, you lose the PLEX. Period. No refunds).

As for the rest of it... I think you need to play the game a little more before you suggest this kind of stuff.

What works in other MMOs doesn't really work here.

In fact... it is better to forget what you learned in other MMOs. Very little will help you here.

For starters...

- almost everything is sourced by players.
That ship or module you want? It was built by a player.
The minerals that went into building that ship? That came from ore that was processed by a player.
That ore that was processed? It was moved by a player.
That ore that was moved? It was mined by a player.
That mining ship that mined the ore? It was built by a player too.

- Ships here are more like "ammunition." Without any fittings, there is no real difference stat-wise between your ship and the same ship another player has.
You may think your ship is a "special little snowflake" that you will polish, shine, and upgrade forever and ever... but the reality is that it WILL die at some point and you will have to get a replacement for it from the market.

- There is no "one fit" for any ship. Tactics and conditions change. So must your fit. Start learning what each module does and learn how to fit ships.

- There is no ship that can do "everything."

- The game's theme is "inter-player conflict."

- Players create to destroy. Players destroy to create. You cannot separate the two things as one relies on the other to feed it.

And yes... the game is slow. This is by design.
There are certainly avenues to advance quicker... but my SINCERE advice is to use this time as a newbie to familiarize yourself with the mechanics and how the game as a whole actually works.

Talk with people. Group up with them. Realize that you are just another player in a larger and grander universe and that, one way or another, you are going to have to work your way up the social ladder with actions.

Trying to "skip ahead" will leave you feeling cheated as even the biggest, baddest, and most pimped ship can be potentially slaughtered by a couple of month old players in trash-fit ships worth a fraction of the value.

You need experience before you should even consider "buying" your way forward.

Buy PLEX from here
https://secure.eveonline.com/PLEX/

It will land in your alt+Y Redeeming Window, and also at the Character Selection Screen at the bottom which you can drag and drop to your character(s).
https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203383751-Redeeming-Items

Since you want it converted to ISK ingame, make sure to redeem it at the station you want to sell it. I'd suggest redeeming it at either stations

a. Jita IV - Moon 4 - Caldari Navy Assembly Plant
b. Amarr VIII (Oris) - Emperor Family Academy

Both stations get a fair amount of trade, so put up a Sell Order this weekend (more players, more trade, better chances for you) for about 1.075~1.060Billion ISK. Use this website to gauge the range of PLEX prices. Note the difference between directly selling the PLEX and placing up a Sell Order. (as of this writing 1.068B Sell, 1.030B Buy; that ~38M could have bought you a couple more ships!)

I too am trying to collect all the ships (just the practical ones, not the very limited/expensive ones), but I do the toil and grind which makes each purchase a bit more satisfying. If you need more help, drop me a mail sometime.

Almost everything in EVE is player built: the ships you fly, the weapons you use etc etc. By selling ships outright CCP would circumvent the ingame economy and production which is NOT what we want. The packs that exist are already bullshit and only created because Steam likes to sell package deals and DLC.

In a player run sandbox you don't want injections of goods from the outside.

Its not worth blasting real world $$$ on EVE ships anyway. Unless you keep it docked 24/7, eventually something is going to kill that ship.
