A career mission that places you in null sec as a new player!

Just thought about this, what if there was a career mission (could be the last) that places you in a random nullsec system, and asks you to travel back to your original career agents station?

If you die killed by other people or just travel is irelevant, mission would be completed either way.

The thing here is to expose the pilot to nullsec from the get go so he gets a feeling on how it is, rather than living a myth that nullsec is full of zombies.

The system would be random to everyone, the place in space on the system would also be random, the player would get there by jumping through a jump gate located in the starter hs tutorial system.

Also this would be a great mechanic giving the ability for older players that haven't completed the mission to kind of "exploit" and be placed in nullsec directly, making things interesting ;)

Pirate missions, guristas and angel I think...

Oh, and Nullsec in fact is full of The Warping Dead...

Why?

Randomly teleporting a newbie in an ibis to the back end of Branch isn't going to teach them anything except how to get bored trying to fly 50 jumps, and how to die to a bubblecamp on a chokepoint.

And I really don't understand what you mean by your thing about older players. We'd just use a wormhole.

Getting thrown right into nullsec won't do a new character any good in the same way scuba diving without getting suited up doesn't do you any good.

I have to agree with Danika on this why?

How early in the life of a new character do you propose this FORCED relocation to nul sec takes place?

What if the player who starts the character already has characters in nul sec and they do not want this new character to be there, what advantage does this hold for them?

If you space magic transport someone to nul and they are killed on the first gate they come to because bubble, camp, or blob or whatever, what have they really learned for the wasted game time?

Suppose the great gods of EvE combined with kindly locals (not going to happen but we can dream) allow this new character and their rookie ship to survive the trip back to their home system what have learned?

And what about players like me. I spent years with a character in nul and have no desire to ever go back there other than waste my time what would I get out of this?

I commend you for the desire to get new players a taste of nul sec life. But a forced relocation that will more often than not end with a clone express trip back to their home station is not the way to do it.
