Conservation of energy, conservation of momentum, kinetic energy and thermal energy would like a word with you about how they will be used for nefarious purposes if this ever came to pass.

A projectile massing around 1500 tonnes with a velocity of mach 7-8, (frigate with a MWD) is going to make a hell of a mess of whatever it hits, regardless of whether it itself explodes or not; gankers would use your high damage idea incurred in bumping to gank people without needing to fit guns at all Roll

50MN Punisher. Yes, it's doable.

6.19 mil kg (~6,820 tons) moving at 9 km / sec is about 250.7 terajoules of kinetic energy.

That sounds big, but it really isn't. It's about 59.9 kilotons. For reference, Little Boy (Hiroshima bomb) was 15 kilotons (63 TJ), and Fat Man (Nagasaki bomb) was 20 kilotons (84 TJ).

It's actually rather small compared to what we currently have available. A T2 Large Smartbomb has a radius of 6 km. The main destruction of Little Boy was a radius around 5 km. Our smartbombs are already similar to a nuclear bomb.

With all that said, I would love to be able to utilize kamikaze ships in EVE. They probably wouldn't be usable in highsec, but they'd still be a lot of fun.

Kid's stuff. A 500mn 1600 plate stabber tops 825 terrajoules, and comes in a whisker under 200 kilotons. That's what I'd be hitting freighters with, not some puny little frigate.

^^ Dammit, and there's me using an example with a non oversized warp drive that comes in at just over a measly 1.5 megatons

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Please you guys need to get out of your box. Why use these on freighter's when you could just hit titans and citadels

Because that's too obvious, and breaking a freighter in half with an alpha in a stabber is just more fun.
