Not seeing an issue here. I refuse to have anything to do with Facebook personally, but you don't have to have a facebook account or log in or anything to view those videos.

As opposed to not advertising your **** everywhere you should. I have no issue with Facebook. I have an issue with the Devs spending more time replying to these dipshit threads than they do uploading their advertising materials to multiple platforms to reach the broadest audience possible.

Facebook is evil. I have never gotten into more trouble than when I was using that thing. You literally can't say anything without everyone hearing about it. May as well not say anything at all, which completely contradicts the whole point of facebook.

It's pretty simple economics for CCP to have their videos on Facebook, since the only people who dont have a Facebook are tinfoil hatters, who don't realise companies have their details already.

However if I was the marketing team, I would not be content having these videos, which are advertisements, in only one place. I would want to push the video to as many potential customers as possible, using as many big platforms as is practicable.

Yes, our privacy is at stake when using Facebook. However, if that is a concern to you, you should stop using any online thing that requires you to log in, perhaps even stop using the Internet entirely, because of ppl want to harm you using your data, they don't need Facebook at all.

So I believe we have two choices in life. Use the Internet, accept they own some your data and don't worry about it.

Or stop using the website entirely and also stop worrying.

There's enough in life to worry about. This shouldn't be one of them, don't make things harder for yourself than needed!

That's an interesting idea. Got a "fake" google (and thus youtube) account already.

The videos were recorded quickly, without extensive setup. Doing it on facebook allowed CCP to do it 'live', in the room where we had the meetings.

Convenient for everyone involved.
