Perhaps you're about to go to war for the first time in your life in New Eden?

Maybe the big and scary Merc corp has demanded ransoms or surrender payments?

It may also be that you're the victim of just being in the wrong place at the wrong time and now have to wait in station until the Dec passes.

There are set rates for some usual jobs and these discussed at the beginning of the consultation period.

Some things are free as a courtesy.

In that case why would anybody use your service? What experience do you have in the field of Mercenary work (particularly in the field of Highsec as your add implies a wardec). Also I would like to know what experience you have in the field of intel gathering and how you got it.

Basically what Noragen said.

Intel is very broad and generalized. What kinda intel are you offering? Alt listing? Activity times? Aggressor hot spots? Are you offering to track and watch members of the aggressive opponent?

Do you have the alts available to fulfill such a demand?

Have you done this before?


Normally spying and intel work like this is spread though client's. The more experienced spies don't advertise on forums. Openly advertising and such. They let their contracts bring customers to them.

Why charge for something that many will give for free?
Kinda pointless (especially when there's no proof you actually know how to deal with wars)

This is almost entirely the idea.

To describe my methods here or with anyone would be churlish. I prefer results rather than my method being shared.

My services will not be for everyone - this I know. I do intend in building a reputation of sorts so as my network grows, so does my teams abilities.

But to mention any methods or results would compromise those trusts I've already built.

You are faced with a paradox.
You need reputation for others to employ you.
You cannot build reputation without damaging the service you offer.

To prove your worth you will have to break the paradox. The better your solution the more likely you are to be hired.

Possible solution.

Do work for free for someone who does have reputation.
Get that person to vouch for your work without revealing details.

Repeat until you have paying customers.

That or he can offer his service free of monetary payment in exchange for a review of his work from a trusted member.

I can come out of the blue saying that I do, I dunno...character assassinations, but without having the ability to show for it, I'm pretty much dead in the water.

You gotta spend money to make money after all, and time is money. So investing that into a free contract isn't a bad idea.
