I don't agree with low pay outs with supers. What a waste! The fact people should be able to insure them to complete fullest. So they lose them in space so what.. buy a new one. The whole reason we set limits on how far they can jump and move in space. So it makes no sense to me why we can't pay half the cost of them. Titan build cost is 60b change it to cost half the rate to replace it. You will end up paying 30b to replace the full 60b. Also lets face the facts as you can't find one for less then 90b so extra costs of selling them. Let's get this done all supers should be fully insure at half cost of the ship building rated! Let's see more ships go boom! Bear

  • Any chance we can get compression tax any time soon? At the very least can we turn off or disallow compressing separate from refining. With the number of 0 tax citadels near hubs a public refining taxes have become pointless

    Changes for February:

  • Added an option to reload the ship and fighter HUD to the "Reset Settings" tab of the esc window. (This should hopefully help players continue playing if the HUD becomes broken or unresponsive in high load situations. Always remember to defect any issues you find, even if this option resolves them for you)

Thank you for this. Finally having a reload function, long time we needed this. Now if we could just logoff into the login screen instead of dumping completely out of the game to log in with a new avatar the circle will be complete!

The left most column of the Industry window that (has either an "X" or a Check mark , possibly other icons) needs a tool-tip to explain all the various icons in that column and what they mean. I already had two support tickets from player-owned research centers having a job dropped there getting a big fat "X" a few days later in that first column and we have no idea what that means. Its usually stopped but I never stopped it and neither does the owner of the facility stop them.

Extremely frustrating to have a player-owned research facility not counting down a 31-day ME research on a BPO and 5 days later you find out its still stuck and need to open a ticket to get it going again. Support is great at doing whatever miracle they do to get it moving again but why it happens is anyone's guess...

    Needed for Industry window:
A way to tell once a job is started (manufacturing) where the output product will end up. Currently once a job is started you have zero way of knowing where the output is unless you write it down. Across 22 manufacturing slots of 2 avatars this tends to get a tad tedious.

If the container the items is going to pump out into gets full the output job will NOT complete and the container needs to be broken down. If you forget which container your output materials went into you are really moving tons of items around and rearranging your entire production line to just get one job to output.

Aren't computers supposed to help us remember things so we do not have to write them down? Isn't that their function? I may be wrong there but I don't think so.

Still issues or long load times for the industry window. Usually the first time opening the window my client "stops responding" for a few seconds like when I undock for the first time. Is this a known issue or normal client behavior?

this happened after they made it all flashy. it was fine how it was then they went overboard and it became a laggy mess. particularly for those of us playing on laptops or old pcs

So it looks like you snuck in a good one there.

From the looks of it, your adding in a tax on every manufacturing job triggered by an alpha state clone. I'm not going to argue on the wisdom of it because there are pro's and cons. It reduces competitiveness of the free 4 slots alpha clones have which cuts both ways. It makes it harder for people with established capital to farm those free slots for low margin items. It makes it harder for new players to establish themselves in industry without paying for a plex.

However, what I would like some more information on is the mechanics. It seems to me that you are planning on applying a 2% isk tax estimated cost of any job an alpha triggers. Mathematically I believe this should be equivalent to saying that Alpha clones will be operating where their effective system index = (real system index + 2)%. Is this correct?

    More clarity is appreciated.

This extra industry tax for Alpha characters is the same one that's been in place since the Ascension expansion. We're not changing the mechanics in February, just making the UI clearer.
This extra cost on Alpha industry was added last year due to legitimate community concerns that creation of arbitrarily large numbers of alpha industry alts could destabilize the market.

You are right that the Alpha clone tax is similar to "effective system index = (real system index + 2)" except that the Alpha surcharge is added after the facility tax is calculated.

You must have not been around when they had good pay out before ccp changed it. But you are still paying the price of half the cost of the supers and you already pay the price of how far they can move in space so for get about doggy piling them. My point makes great sense.

Fruzz I know you been working hard to make game changes to the game. But isn't it time we try and sneak in design changes to the custom offices! Would be a great add on to drilling platforms! Didn't know if CCP would be willing to do other round of remade drawing for a new look for the custom offices! One thing which I do think would be is make the first ever t3 design. The platform could redesign it's self in space base on rigs or lay out someone wanted.

Can we PLEASE get proper UI scaling for 4k res? The max scaling is still far too small.
