Having recently returned to EVE after a long hiatus, my corpmate and I have decided to open the doors to a fresh opportunity. The Akagi Initiative.

If you're looking for a place at a table that isn't already crowded, in a corporation that seeks to explore PvP, and to a lesser extent, PvE combat content, and are either fed up with the politics of nullsec, or wish to avoid the drama train and still have fun with like minded players, we've got a spot waiting for you. Currently quite small, Akagi isn't looking to create a numberless horde, but rather gather pilots who fit into a social, coordinated hunting pack that will eventually partake of most everything the game has to offer that is worth firing warheads and slugs at, starting with operations in low sec, and contracted wars that will be more than just sitting on a gate shooting at freighters.

The corporation has existed in a limited form for just over three years, with the majority of it coinciding with a break from EVE. Originally conceived as a simple high sec home for a few friends, the vision has now moved to a more active goal. Ultimately, I want to provide an experience that doesn't leave my corpmates spinning ships, or looking for filler, with a buildup that will see us expand to operations all over New Eden.

We welcome vets (bitter or not), new players, both Omega's and Alphas. And while there are RPers in corp, including myself, it is neither a requirement to join, or anything we will ever push. All I would ask is that corpmates are treated with respect, and calls to arms are honored.
