2nd Newbie Mission - Ammo, but no Gun?

Hello,

I'm a bit confused. I'm on my second training mission, which consists of learning how to go out into space and kill some things. I'm given some ammo, and the instructions say to r-click on my weapon to load the ammo.

Problem is... no weapon.

In rookie chat, I was told that I should have been given a weapon by Aura before receiving the ammo, but that's not the case. It's not in my cargo hold, not listed under assets at any location, not fitted onto my ship, and I have no pending mission completions with a weapon as a reward. Nowhere near enough ISK as a brand new player & character to afford even the cheapest hybrid turret.

What am I missing?

There are periodically bugs with the tutorial not giving you the stuff you should get. Normally I'd say petition it but it's easy enough to just buy one from the market, and you now have enough ISK to buy one. Just make sure it is of the right type (I'm assuming you got hybrid ammo, so you're looking for a small railgun or small blaster).

Renaelus, if it's not too much trouble for you, would you be able to provide tutorial mission feedback in the "Feedback on Tutorials for new players" thread started by Crompton Aberforth? There are some useful posts in there already, and it would be nice for me if I could be lazy and just point rookies at a small number of threads when they ask for help :)

You might also find something of value in Seamus Donohue's "How To Survive EVE Online" video walkthroughs.

Well you can do those missions in a rookie ship as well or fit your new ship with civilians not that I know if it actually works for the tutorial.
To get guns just trash your rookie ship, exit station in your egg and get back in a few times and you'll have a new set of civilian junk.

No need to exit station. Repackage and re-assemble gets the additional gun and miner each time you do it.
