Fleet window shouldn't close when you leave a fleet

I just saw this post on reddit and decided to cross post here, since I fully agree with Boson on this. The fleet window closing whenever you leave fleet is a bit weird and makes switching between fleets more complicated than it has to be.
I really hope there's a simple solution for the issue and that it gets changed soon (no TM).

I'm not trolling, I create content for everyone to enjoy. afk cloaky in a system near you while posting in this forum.

ok fine i did my research.
this issue seams more like a bug to me.
probably the issue would be better addressed in a bug report.

and in the bugs and work around section of the forum .

I do not want windows for fleets I am no longer a part of staying open that would be annoying as hell.

It seems that this actually is working the way common sense and logic dictate that it should work.
When you are in a fleet you have access to the information shared among the members of the fleet. And when you leave you lose access to the information.

the fleet window also includes the fleet finder, which is what you want to join another fleet. the my fleet tab and fleet chat only should be available when you're in a fleet, nobody suggested either should still display info about your last fleet after leaving it, that would be stupid.
the easiest solution (from a user point of view) would be to 1) make only the my fleet tab close when you leave fleet and (optional) 2) put a checkbox somewhere to close fleet window when you leave fleet, for those who want to keep the current behavior.
