My idea is to remove the Shield and Armor resistance bonuses and odd on their place armor regeneration and structure repairs over time.

Why?

How does a module with hull resists and armour regen make more sense than a module with shield, armour and hull resists?

This.

So far, there's no reasoning as to why this changes is needed, nor how it would be an improvement.

Nice to see you again Danika .

Many times I don't use any Shield or Armor repair modules but the armor and structure don't regenerate like Shields to be able to use different tactics for defense, like evading attacks in a defensive manner as your ship slowly gets repaired and being more aggressive and attacking when you're more structurally sound '

Also is a way of using all the defense berries Sh/Arm/Str and not being locked in one

Besides damage control is the means of controlling damage not preventing Big smile

so take all the unique advantages out of using the different kinds of tanks and make it so everyone tanks the same? yeah sounds loads of fun.

if you want to passive tank go shield

if you want to brick tank go armor

if you want a burst tank go shield

if you want to sig tank go speed

also just a small tip when passive tanking (using recharge) your shield is strongest as you get to 25% so pussyfooting around to raise up your shields will just get you killed

If you want to sig tank with armor bring a repper. If you want reps out of combat bring reppers and a mobile depot. I quite like the resists, especially for fleets. AFAIK they don't come with a stacking penalty either, so that's nice.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

the do not good sir and if you are going a heavy resist armor build you may like to know that the reactive armor hardener also does not stack

The reactive hardener and dc stack with eachother but no other modules if i remember correctly.

CCP intended to make the dc less compulsory, but for that you will want to reduce the armour and shield resists. Otherwise its still an obvious low slot for the vast majority of fits.
