Station billboards should have internet links

Station advertisements are very nice. Beautiful advertisements are running all the time. Something important is still missing. Captain Quarter TV-screen opens links to correct subject when you click screen. I propose similar behavior for advertisement screens. Clicking screen could open browser with correct alliance/corporation home page.

Comments are welcome for my idea.

Only if it comes with an option to completely disable said links. And preferably comes as an opt in feature in the first place.

And, preferably, comes with a 'disable all adverts forever' button too.

False analogy. Instead of comparing citadel screens to a TV where people watch provided content, you should have compared them to actual TV stations, which decide what they broadcast. I am the owner of that citadel, I should be able to decide what is broadcasted on my screens.

Furthermore, there are lots of outdated ads running on the screens now, like Infamous (dead) or Bergmann (deadish). Personally, I do not mind the boards in itself but I want to be able to exterminate ads from the screen that I do not deem worthy. Instead of watching bovine waste like the CCP ad that belittles glasses wearers with these utterly hideous hipster goof goggles, I want to see ads that actually make my gameplay experience more enjoyable.

Im getting innto the idea.
Player could create advert content to sell to others.
We might have 2 options for npc stations and sov.
Also I could imagine creating content by player propaganda in adverts.
And place fake news to misinform/bad reputations about hostile corp.
Even to manipulate markets.
Even some actual news like eve news online.
Ccp announcements
Give players full control over the in game tv.
Let them pay for it depending on range of there broadcast system wide constellation wide and so on.
And you will see a lot new content what players could come up with.
Scammers may also get there fingers in it.
Over all this feature exist and with player control it would make sense.
Plus you add a isk sink that helps slowing down inflation.

Maybe players organize to a news agency and fund them self's advertise for others and/donations.
This could turn out as a real huge step forward and makes eve even more sandbox.

Without interfering with actual game mechanics.

Your sov stations could rent out airtime
Make it easy to use.
Some sort of a slim PowerPoint.
(important possibility to upload pictures)
with a time cap 30sec x amount tax Avery added sec x added tax.

You could use it for corp internal news.

If they are nit willing to monitor any uploaded graphic they could give us ccp approved preset set graphics.
On the other hand they could give forum mods a real job to monitor it
If they can't manage this cost effective I wonder how they survive jita local and a forum like this one.

Pretty sure the broadcaster is an entity along the line of CONCORD in game which allows adds based on CCP's approval. You as the station owner shold still be able to decide if you turn it off or display your own non-broadcasted content.
