Citadel Undocking Mechanics

Do the undocking mechanics of citadels differ from stations? I ask because citadels provide the option to view the outside structure, which would presumably show any ships hanging around and let you know if you should undock or stay put. Whereas, in stations, you must undock, CTRL+SPACE, observe, then redock after the session change timer expires if things look unpleasant. Do those same mechanics work in citadels? Are there any "kick out" citadels where you're practically guaranteed to be out of redocking range once the timer expires? Do you still have the 30 seconds of invulnerability with citadels?

Assuming you haven't suddenly become persona non grata to the citadel owner, you get as much undock invulnerability as you like. As soon as you undock, you're tethered, which makes you invulnerable until you lock someone. The docking radius of citadels is also huge, so no need to worry about kickout citadels.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

Tethering, right. Forgot all about that. Pretty sure I read somewhere that tethering does not protect you from being bumped? Also, I believe there are some associated skills?

So undocking from a citadel automatically tethers you. Does remaining tethered require any action on my part? In other words, if I undock and do nothing, will I eventually fly out of range?

Tethering does not protect you from being bumped, although I hear CCP plans to change that. There are no associated skills with being tethered. As long as you don't have a weapons timer (the 1 minute one) and can dock at the citadel, you can tether.

If you don't stop your ship, you will fly out of docking/tethering range eventually. No action is required beyond stopping your ship or otherwise modifying your course to keep you inside the docking perimiter though.

Really appreciate the direct, succinct, and unassuming answers!
