CLOSED - Supercaps? Are they worth building?

So it's been about 4 years sine I later played and i'decide to came back, but not sure what I want to do.

I have all my capital production junk and was wondering if it is even worth it anymore to produce caps and or supercaps anymore?

Should I liquidate the hundred of billions of researched bpos or produce again... why would make a better use of assets?

Input and or oponion welcome.

Start sellin bpc packs for them. Or just sell them and get on whit the citadel playground. Theres lots of isk moving in there. Perhaps you ens up making one of those well known citadels who knows.

Well, if you're not hard up on ISK, then start making some BPC packs for those supers and titans. Check around on the sell order thread for what people are selling them for and check contracts. Not a bad little semi-passive income.

As for building them, there is a demand still. If you have a safe place of operations. I'm not 100% sure on if supers can be built in the Engineering Complexes or not, but those could really help if they are able to be built there.

You have to ask yourself what you're hoping to do this go around in the game. Do you want to be a bigger player in the production of those caps, or do you want to go try something else this time? Try markets maybe? Liquidate a little of your BPO stock and try it out? PvP? Same, liquidate a little and experiment. Maybe only get rid of a few component BPOs because they are easier to replace?

What worked for me personally was doing a bond using some of my long term/stable assets as collateral. At the end of the day I didnt want to sell them for good, but at the same time I felt at least for this period, there was something else I could be doinh with ISK that will make more profit/be more interesting.

I see in ur other thread that you have 500b liquid, and if you do a bond with hundreds of bil worth of collateral then you have about a trillion to mess about with. Even in today's world of mega riches a trillion ISK can do significant things to market,politics, etc.

I'd personally use them to copy. There's a good return on that, but you'd have to run the numbers for yourself :-)

(You could also give me some BPO's, I'd put it to good use ... :-))

Supers (both super carriers and titans) can be built in the XL Engineering Complex (the Sotiyo) with the right module installed

Yeah, I was thinking this, but i know they changed all the manufacturing/Research fees calculations and junk, as well as now i think you had to have the actual BPO's in a POS instead of the remote research, will have to check the new citadels out in regards to research too.

Yeah, I already have the same 0.0 contacts i did before and getting a place to build or safty is not a problem. I just worried about the changes in the Jump-drives and cool-down fatigue etc, they made and think selling the camps might be more "regional" now then all over eve.. that might affect sales efficiency.

Yeah, I know there is way too much competition now a days with building caps, not like they were back in 2005/2006 when if you wanted to buy a cap most were bought from me (at least in the northern regions).

I have always dabbled in the markets, trade and other things as well, I just don't have 8-12 hours to play eve anymore like i use too.. need something way way way less active but still profitable worth my time doing!

Yeah, I really have mixed feelings about selling the BPO's as I was doing it a long time and it made loads of ISK for me before. But im more interested in turning a good profit, so perhaps its time they went. I need to do some new spreadsheets and update all the new game mechanics that have been introduced to see if its worthy my time.

Yeah not really hurting for ISK, but who doesn't want MOAR! Yeah, Im not super loaded anymore I gave alway lots of stuff and isk before i left, but i got about 1.2 trill in total assets and ISK left right now, (not counting my 35 accounts and 80 toons, which im in the process of selling and/or biomassing). I will have to see, I might just start Pvping a bit with my 1 and only PvP toon (lol).

yeah, I might if the numbers work out. But if you are serious about "using" the BPO's evemail me your actual business plan and perhaps we can work something out :) Remember, I like money so it really have to be worth my while or i just might do it myself.
