Yeah like that. An idea to leave on the pile. I hope people don't defeat themselves before making F&I threads with an idea, and to my credit this thread was not met with "it's been suggested before," which is the worst possible outcome for a thread in here, imo, because that means it's not an original idea, and it's sat in dev awareness for however long.

One thing worth noting in this case is that visual development and gameplay development are different channels and have their own bandwidth, somewhat. And I mentioned SKINs and hats (I think?) earlier because that's proof of art assets that are produced alongside other aspects of the game.

So I guess if two development items were directly related, like slot layout changes to a Nestor vs a Vindicator (pick one!), the dichotomy between them would be real. But in this case I think that dichotomy is false.

It would be great to do more usability testing on completely new players.

When I revived my character as an alpha, I undocked with the ship map enabled, and I had to spend a few minutes discovering what to do. Some of these usability problems may sound stupid in retrospect, but I still think that they are costly for CCP as a company.

I don't normally contribute to the EVE forums but this thread is outstanding. I want to reinforce the idea that CCP's vision continues to affect capsuleer society in bold and beautiful ways. The station augment argument is next in the queue, if existing gamers agree, to keep star systems populated.

Fwiw, it takes me about as long to traverse the docking reticule and sit in my spaceship -presumably- as it would to find a space for donuts. Can that action be animated with drone cam FoV tweaking applied? Please let me know your thoughts.
