Hello I started playing eve back in late 2007 till about 2013. Then life happened, babies, etc and I did burn out. I have been considering a full time return but don't know where to start. What is new, any big thefts, scandals, exploits since 2013. If I don't come back I'm seriously considering giving away all my stuff, about a year's worth of Plex and about 10 billion in assets and maybe 5 billion ISK but I need time to think how I want to give it away.

World war bee, goons removed from the north. I've read the whole thing from reddit and it was fun reading all the propaganda and leaks and whatnot.

Gambling sites were deemed unhealthy for the game after that, so CCP made em illegal.

Citadels and engineering complexes, new deployable stuff etc.

We can extract/inject skillpoints now so 'catching up' is easier nowadays. The funds you have might help you with this. Oh and an unlimited(not really, limited to 50 skills) skillqueue!

Some of the updates are listed here:

Uhh, you mentioned.. babies? More than one popped out? :D I'd say congratulations if not for the knowledge of how things are with your handful of bundles..

PS. Don't give away your stuff just yet, if you have a sizable amount then invest it in the Market Discussions subforum.

When I left the game several years ago, I gave my assets to my corp (the Tuskers) to sponsor our Frigate Free For Alls. Essentially, we'd buy up huge numbers of T1 frigates, fit them, and give them out for free (on a particular day, at a particular time) as part of a massive battle. There were prizes and such, and the idea was to encourage new players to get into pvp.

Here's one of our old adverts.

These were very popular, and with the new alpha clones, there must be loads of new players that would love to participate in such an event.

A word of warning, though. By giving away everything, when I eventually did return to the game, I was completely broke, which was not much fun! I'm clawing my way back up, but being broke and locked out of high sec (-10 sec status) was really quite rough.

Edit: I can't believe I managed to post this before someone asked for all your stuff. So, consider this the obligatory 'can I have your stuff?' post!

If you like reading about low sec piracy or wormhole pvp, you might enjoy my blog.

II returned lately after 2 years of not playing and I can tell You what changed for me:
- now You have to wait 10 seconds every time You change ship before you can undock in citadels,
- You have to wait 10 seconds before You can change ship after dock in every station,
- the latency is higher (UI is less response then 2 year ago) and often you can encounter some bigger lags,
- ships can have different skins now,
- new destroyer T3 ship was added
and that is all I notice.

I play it for like 2 months now and it seems like Eve downgraded. I read that there are a lot of things that was added, but its hard to notice it. If You would not heard about it or read about it somewhere by mistake, You could possibly never knew about it. And that is sad :(

Eve is in a much better state than when you left. In my opinion, you should do something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBTRp80Q64U Blink

1) Make it a lottery. Choose a number between 0-1000, and whoever is closest gets value according to their guesses proximity.

2) Give it in parcels to noobs in the NPE forum.

3) Demand tit pics for PLEX.

4) Invest in the Market Discussion opportunities, so you can earn AFK.

5) Gief it all to me so I can play forever.

All Eve players burn out.. that doesn't mean you have to leave the game permanently. I took a year long break, several of my corp buddies took longer ones. Game burn out in Eve is probably something unique to this game since the game doesn't really end and there is no place where you can't try something new, on top of the fact that the more you get into this game, the more this game can become very.. jobish.

You took your break, now come back and have fun.
