P.S. Close to I-495 & R-66 and has plenty of (Free) parking.
P.P.S. A 30 min walk (1.5 mile) from the East Falls Church metro station.

Anyone interested in getting something started (and keeping it going)!

So, I have been playing eve since early 2004 non-stop, except for the last 4 years (long story), and now I'm back and living in the DC / VA / MD metro area (Maryland, Virginia, District of Colombia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, all are welcome).

I would like to propose a monthly gathering, something in the DC / VA / MD area. I will find a good place/activities (was thinking things like, mini-golf, bowling, etc., and eating/drinking of course). Open to suggestions?

Since I'm decently ISK-Rich, I would also like to hand out some Eve Prizes (like a Carrier & Dread Hull, and maybe a PLEX or two as well) every month, we can do it raffle style or it can go to the "winners" of the activities. Other Donations welcome!

Was thinking about the last Saturday of every month starting February 2017. Open to suggestions?

If you are interested, I would also ask to blast it out to everyone you know in that lives in the area, even if you live in Europe or wherever, let your corp mates know!

I'm forced to decline regretfully the February date (concurrent with my trip to San Francisco for GDC and Noise Pop 25), but I'm definitely petitioning the higher ups to send me over for a future iteration.

If for nothing else than a stroll through Old Town to lament the closing of Pat Troy's, which admittedly wasn't all that good (or even remotely good to be honest), but was tremendously consistent.

Sure, I agree. Positing a bit about yourself, and eve-self is a great icebreaker.

So my birthday is 16th January, so just turned 37 this year, but I started Eve long ago January 2004, shortly after my 24th birthday. Long story short, I started with a hand full of friends and they eventually got bored of eve after 4-8 months and I then acquired their toons. So for my first 6 years of eve I played with about 6 accounts, and gradually got to my peak in 2013 with 37 accounts about 80 toons.

CCP broke eve for me with the "illegal" making of multiboxing and changing the mining mechanics back then. I was out of game for about 4 years to to some IRL thing and the feeling i kinda beat EVE with my amassed ISK fortune, Owned Revenant, and all the fancy toys ISK could buy so i decieded to take a break.

I have always been and Industrialist/Market/Trade person and only have 1 PvP account of the 35 (not counting any titan alts that i only really used for Jump bridges back before you could use gates). I am CEO of Cyberdyne R-D (I like to think the first public supercatial construction corp) and over the years about a dozen others.

Anyways, I'm back due to the recent Alpha/Omega clone changes i like and the Skill Injector/Extractors. I won't be able to play 8-12 hour days like i did in my prime years, as over my 4 year hiatus i now have a 3 year old daughter that takes up most of my free time and energy.

I was in the U.S. Military for many years and lived all over the USA and even some other places around the globe. I current, settled down in Alexandria, VA, but am very familiar with the area for many years. Hope to see you all and have drink, eat, and fun together once a month.

Sorry for this, however somethings have come up and won't be attending these gatherings. I will be taking a break from Eve for a while. I'll keep an eye on this thread and will let you know when things change.

There used to be a bunch of us in "VADCMD" in-game but I'm not sure anymore as I moved away from the area a year or so ago. That said I'm moving back to NoVA soon in Feb so I won't be able to make this one but hopefully we can do another one in March or around then.

I saw your eve mail this morning. I live out on the Eastern Shore of MD between Salisbury and Berlin. Going back and forth across the bridge makes for a pretty long day but I'm definitely interested. I'll try to keep an eye on the forums, but I think keeping an eve mailing list of interested parties is a really good idea. Personally, I'm not on the forums very often.

I did a few fun trips to the eastern shore this last summer before I left town, one trip to rock hall/tolchester beach, and one to St Michaels. I'd be up for something in that direction when I make it back to the area (which granted, I have no idea when that could be... late summer maybe.) Though maybe something near Annapolis or Kent Island would be more central to more people. I've done a few fun trips to Chincoteague and Ocean City as well, but that sounds somewhat out of the scope of this kind of thing. :)
