Just a thought! A frigate sized industrial transport ship. Something sized similarly to existing frigates but with the obvious increased cargo capacity. This smaller design would be suitable for quicker transport of smaller products such as modules.

You mean like most destroyers?

Not quite. Thinking around 1000-1500 m3 as is. In comparison, the existing ones start at 4000m3 or near enough.

I'm going to go with "no" for $500, Alex.

Well, I wouldn't be against a frigate-sized ship to haul small amount of compressed ore from nullsec to highsec.

The thing is, blocade runner are already very hard to catch, even with the bubbles available in null. Even if this frigate would not have access to a cloak or covert ops cloak, it would have a agility so high as a frigate that It would be near impossible to catch if the pilot know what he's doing.

Besides, interceptor with their 3 second warp-time and immunity to bubble, can carry a good bunch of module through nullsec with near immunity.

It wouldn't have the agility of a normal frigate, but it would be somewhere between frigate and the existing transport ships in terms of stats.

A number of the T1 frigates used to have mining bonuses and bigger cargo bays. They didn't get much use so were repurposed. I don't think the situation has changed plus you can still get around 500m3 space out of them.

Mabye it's just me, but i want to see some scale for ship classes. A huge mining barge, a mini noctis etc.

If you want a mini-Noctis, then outfit a destroyer accordingly. It's really not that difficult...

Just fit a magnate with some expanded cargohold. It's around 1000m3. Works fine for Alphas, who wants something a bit more agile than a normal industrial. Just remember not to haul anything valuable.

When you want to get serious, you train into a blockade runner.

So basically, no there should not be added a frigate hauler, since it already exists.

No, multiple time people have posted ideas for example like a battleship sized mining barges, with same yield but missile dps with or other ideas around it.

Alas most of the time, using a ship not meant to do just that purpose do the job, for example magnate with cargohold expander, or rokh with mining laser, that's not the same thing, but that's enought to not make a new ship for this.

Also, this should really go under Player Features and Suggestions where it can be criticized there...
