Michigan noob looking for local player to help me out

I have been playing my first online game World of Tanks for the last 6 years.
Looking for something new. The learning curve in this game is huge.
Hope to find someone local who would help me get started.

Pretty sure this should be OOPE section.

I'm not sure what you're expecting to get out of an in person meeting to help you learn the game. It's not like you can get together for practice sessions or something in any meaningful physical way. imo, it's best to keep EVE firmly separated from RL. I'm not even a huge fan of voice comms, except when under fire. See, with this whole newfangled internet thingamajig it doesn't really matter where other people are physically located, they can still interact.

I just remember I did a lot of stupid things when I started playing World of Tanks.
Those things when you figure them out what follows is the face palm.

I started the tutorials yesterday and will keep at it tonight.
I will drop as much coin as needed to keep me from being a detriment to who ever I fight with.

We're a bit compartmentalized and anal about posting in the correct forum section, but feel free to post all your questions here or in the New Citizens Q&A. There are plenty of guides, examples, and tutorials on the internet, as the game has been around for a while, and we can point you to them as well as explain things. Being local is not required.

We're actually too suspicious for that. This game is unrestricted PVP, and we've gone from "let's all be friends and help each other" to "let's set up a fair fight" to "all's fair in war" to "psychological warfare and propaganda are valid forms of warfare" to "if you can scam, steal, or otherwise extract tears on top of killing the target, all the better."

I reccomend looking up a corp called 'Eve University'. It's a great starting point for any Newbro. Also I can not stress enough that at somepoint if you play long enough another person will take advantage of your trust and cause you ingame harm. Welcome to eve. Be very careful about who you decide to make an out of game friend (I have made 2 personally)
