Looking for general information

I was visiting forum for years, but never went in here :D

Now I see that these bonds and loans are going here quite a bit with collaterals, etc...
Assuming I have about 100 bill ISK just laying around and would be interested in investments, I am looking for more information of how this usually works?

1) If 3rd party (ex. Chribba), his fee is usually covered by person taking the money?
2) If 3rd parts is involved, assuming I don't need to worry about collateral, since they would calculate if the value is matching invested funds?
3) If I am collaterizing myself, what is the most expected items that people offer (assume I know how to check values and won't fall for officer item or BPO which is in reality worth well under NPC price, just asking for experience of other people, what do you get mostly offered for collateral)?

Also another question which I wanted to get answer for a while and why I even came here.

Is there any interest of people in getting access to BPO library?

Right now it is still in process of being build, but even now it is worth about 30-40 bill in NPC prices and includes stuff like ME:10 carriers and dreads, capital components at ME:10.

BPO's would naturally be locked in station where my alt would be sole CEO/Director (or complex in same system as station for asset safety), you would pay for access to build/copy. I am here asking about peoples opinion and ballpark figure of what this kind of library might be worth and how would you do calculation?

At the moment I am thinking that you can make 200 mill easily just by doing copies per week with one toon, taking that into account and that you would be able to bring more people into corp (0% tax, you would get roles to recruit other people and handle corp wallets, just not director access) which owns the BPO's you could increase your profits, but I still don't know where to put the exact price (I have a number in head, but don't know if it is to much or to low)

Hello, I'll try to answer these questions as best I can.

1. It depends on the terms of the loan and who is insisting on the third party. But yea, usually the barrow will pay the third party fee. That being said third parties are normally only used for large loans. For smaller loans a lot of people will just contract the collateral to the lender for the amount of the loan.

2. Best advice, always do the math yourself. If anything as a lender I would want to know what the collateral is so I have an idea of how long it's going to take me to sell those items off incase of a default.

3. You can offer whatever you like so long as the lender agrees. That being said the only time in makes sense to take a collateralized loan is if the item(s) you are offering for collateral would either take a long time to sell or are hard to find on the market and would take you a long time to buy back. If your collateral sells quickly and is easy to buy back you might as well just sell it and buy it back later. Thereby saving youself having to pay interest on a loan. It's why most small loans don't get filled on this board. For the borrower it doesn't make since to offer collateral because of what I said above. That being said without collateral there is nothing stopping the borrower from scamming the lender.

For your last question I would post it in either the prices checks forum or sell orders. If what your saying is that you want to charge people for access to your BPO library. The value of that access would vary greatly from person to person. A lot of Indy corps already give their members free access to their library so you would have that going against you. Also I would imagine any Indy player capable of making use of such library would probably already have some better options then to pay for access. That being said you won't know until you have tried.

Thank you for taking your time, to reply on some of your comments:

I am also thinking this for lower end BPO's, but how many of these corps give access to capital building BPO's (pretty much library would consist of all BPO's in game other then Titans/Supers, some are still in research in NPC corp alts and will take some time, but still)

This is also the thing. To get access to ME:10 carriers and dreads you are looking at either buying BPC for 30-100 mill (depending on which one), buying researched original (which last time I checked was at least 2-3 bill on top of NPC price) or research it yourself (which takes literally a year).

Right now I am doing BPO packs from there for some side profit (about 100 mill/week), but I am not even closely utilising the library (only 10 slots copy, 50 slots are in use for research of existing ones and when it is done I plan on selling the toons doing research), so I was thinking that if there would be interested people I might start with initial price of 500 mill per month for 3 months and evaluate changing it in the future.
