No Implants, No Faction, Limited to T1 and T2 Modules and Ammunition.
No Micro Jump Drives, no fleet Boosts.
Limited to Tech 1 and NAVY Faction battleships.
The first to die, or warp off, loses.

If these are the agreed upon terms, I shall begin in earnest. A little different than I'm accustomed to, but still plenty of room for...interesting tactics.

I hate to expose such ignorance publicly, but do ISD members have limited capsuleer skills like us mere immortals? If not, I'll need an overview of your skills to make sure I don't provide something you can't fly.

So let me get this right.

You invoke the call of Thunderdome, without first checking with it's keeper? You do not seek his grant of ascent onto the sacred proving ground before you make your challenge? This is not your personal sandbox, this is a hallowed arena where reputations are born and dreams are crushed as capsuleers throw their pride, honour, determination and skill upon an altar where only the strongest can survive. If you wish to show your might within it's bounds, you would be wise to first request admission from it's custodian, just like all those that have battled there have before. Do not be so presumptuous to assume it is at your disposal on a whim.

Your transgressions in this instance aside, I confer with your lord and master CCP Phantom, and together we shall decide the conditions of your conflict. Be thankful that I am merciful. It would not bode your reputation well to declare contest you can not hold.

Our champion has sinned and fallen short in your eyes. Truly our sorrow can know no bounds!

Buldath has failed to observe the proper rituals, and in doing so has forsaken his solemn duty to the gods. He is deserving of your wrath, and all of STAR are penitent for nominating such an unworthy champion.

Yet, even as we prostrate ourselves at your feet, we remain hopeful that you may judge our intentions to be virtuous. There can be no excusing Buldath’s desecration of the holy spaces, and yet hit sin was one of omission.

We beseech you to overlook our transgressions and instead cast your gaze upon the vile ones.
See how they corrupt the people, ensnaring them with falsehoods. See the lack of virtue or repentance in the heart of their champion... And most of all, see how they make a mockery of the very gods themselves! Even their despicable leader refuses to show due reverence, responding to your most holy writ with a simple image macro!

This blasphemy cannot be allowed to continue! While the gods are truly all-powerful, we beg you to allow us the honour of smiting them in your most holy name. This we ask so that the people may be freed from their unwitting bondage. This we ask that STAR might demonstrate its pre-eminence as defender of the faith. This we ask that even that our champion Buldath may in some small way restitute himself.

For all of this we boldly ask admittance to the most hallowed Thunderdome, confident that the gods shall bless us in our undertaking. While we are no more worthy than the lowliest Jita spammer, we have been sanctified by the power of your most righteous devhax. Though your reasons for granting such favour may confound us, you have seen fit to grant us the teal text of virtue, and the power to silence all evildoers who cross our path, be they offtopic or trolling alike. Through these vestments we spread the light of STAR far and wide, and surely none can stand against it.

How are we handling getting our two combatants on grid with each other? During the C&P Thunderdome series on Tranquility, one would warp to the other giving one pilot a slight advantage in dictating the initial engagement range and this obviously influences ship fitting selections.

Our emissary and champion was dispatched in an attempt to restore balance to the natural order of things. These so called "likes" are only the symptom of the true problem, namely that that he has perverted the hearts and minds of the people and holds them in thrall.

Our hopes were not high, but before taking more drastic action we thought it proper to first assess how deeply the rot went. After all, if the like balance was quickly restored once their folly was pointed out to them, then no further action may have been necessary.

Sadly, it appears the rot extends right to the core. Indeed, its extent and vicissitude from the natural order of things shocked us deeply. We had no choice but to immediately challenge the iniquitous Max, in the hope that once the source of this moral poison was removed from his undeserved position of power that the people might finally be able to re embrace the light of STAR.

Far from being "innocent" as you claim, it was the sheer extent of Max's outrageous wickedness that caused Buldath to sin, for in his zeal he forgot that we ourselves must obey the proper order of things.
