Idk i would like that a lot. Could be like voyager.

Rebalance the godawful cargo holds for combatships and have wormhole style expeditions that are randomly generated and are locked to one person at a time so they're isolated with no way to communicate or get out of long term pve exploration with big cargo holds to carry loot.

Even if that's unlikely and will never happen the cargo holds still desperately need to be rebalanced. Its stupid as hell that little bitty frigates have larger cargo holds than some battlecruisers. an entire frigate could fit inside a battlecruiser. No reason it should have less cargo room.
If frigates can go up to 400m3, all cruisers should be more than that, find a good level for cruisers to end at and have all battlecruisrdd be larger than that.

There shouldn't be frigates running around with 400m3 and cruisers with up to 500, then battlecruisers that go from 300 to 900. And battleships in the 500s600s that doesn't make any sense.
It would be better at like

Frigates 100-400
Cruisers 400-800
Battlecruisers 800-1200
Battleships 1200-1600
So there's a logical progression to cargo room as ships get larger and larger. Even though proportionally a battleship should have a few thousand for how much bigger they are than frigates. Its better than nothing imo.

Yeah, the OP referred to it. Kind of the issue he is trying to resolve since it hasn't been updated for much this year yet.
