Hello all,

I was wondering what is the best Arbitrator Fit for ratting. I have looked some fits up but most seem to clash with each other. i am relatively new to Eve so I can't really tell what fit is best.

Thanks in advance.

The Arbitrator is not really meant for ratting in the first place. It can be done but you probably want to fly the Omen or Maller for ratting and since you are new.
The Arbitrator is a fleet support ship which explains the bonuses for targeting disruption and the lower end of drone damage.

When you become an Omega you will see that training down that path will lead to the Pilgrim and Curse which are also support ships with some special abilities but they cost more than 10 times of what an Arbitrator cost and since all the tech 1 ships have been refreshed to the state you have now there is not reason even a vet of 5-10 years can fly an Arbitrator.

You want to fit target disruptors in your mid-slots either two turret or two missiles ones or one of each and you want a mwd for movement or an afterburner if you decide that you want to rat with her.

In the lows you want an 800mm plate, one or two energized adaptive nano platings, a damage control unit and maybe a medium armor repair module.

Since you are new, I would suggest using 2x energized adaptive nano platings. Once you are trained more and have a better feeling for the ship, you can switch out one energized plating for a drone damage amplifier.

The pvp fit uses 4x small gremlin scoped or compact neutralizers and a 1600mm plate but that won't concern you yet.

Use the 800mm plate and one medium armor repair module and fit the high-slots with 4x scoped or compact nosferatu modules to feed your capacitor.

Don't leave that armor repair module running all the time. When your shields go down you want to turn it on once and turn it of again.
When your armor goes to 95%-ish you turn it on again for one cycle or two but not more.

Let your drones run amok but keep an eye on their health. NPC's don't like drones and will start shooting them.

Now go out there and fly Amarr.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

Heya, this was my first ever cruiser in the game. Looking at the ship traits, this is a drone damage support ship. This is my PvE fit (read: ratting/missioning)

[Arbitrator, Simulated Arbitrator] 4:00 cap stability, so turn off the afterburner when not needed.

LOWSLOT
Drone Damage Amplifier I ...................3x drone damage modules, good stacking
Drone Damage Amplifier I
Drone Damage Amplifier I
Mark I Compact Shield Power Relay ....... increases passive shield regen rate, look Ma no active repairer!
Mark I Compact Shield Power Relay

MEDSLOT
Large F-S9 Regolith Compact Shield Extender ...... increases shield hp, buffer lets you tank more incoming damage
Large F-S9 Regolith Compact Shield Extender ...... also increases your passive shield regen a bit
Limited Adaptive Invulnerability Field I ......... increases shield resistance, can be swapped to rat specific damage
10MN Y-S8 Compact Afterburner ........ a bit of speed to help moving from gate to gate or wreck to wreck

HISLOT
Responsive Auto-Targeting System I ..... +2 to ship's max locked targets bringing you up to 9 targets
Small Tractor Beam I ...... bring in mission specific items into range up to 20km, no need to afterburner there
Salvager I .............. or bring salvage drones, this is just for flavor, can place an 'aggro' gun to tap far away rats
Drone Link Augmentor I ........ more range between you and the targets, makes them miss.. missiles get delayed

RIGS
Medium Core Defense Field Purger I ....... increases shield regen rates even more
Medium Core Defense Field Purger I ....... and while you are passively getting shield reps from these
Medium Core Defense Field Purger I ....... you kill the rats dealing damage, helping your tank

Hammerhead I x5 ......... or whatever drone damage you need for the faction rat

From my missioner, this guy deals 212.4 dps. Using T2 drone damage amps, it goes up to 238.7
If you fit guns on this guy, it will help the dps a bit but your capacitor might get run low faster, so stick with drones.
Again, turn off the afterburner when not needed and kill off big ships first (usually) cause they hit the hardest. Remove the omni shield resists for a specific one for higher tanking ability.
