Emergency warp delay

Good day, we are all know that there is a mechanic of emergency warp ship.
It consists in the fact that when you close the client, a ship warp about 1 mil km in a random direction and
then hanging in the space from 1 to 15 minutes (depends on aggro timers), after dissapear from game.

All this time, the player's nickname is not in the local chat, this indicates that the player has left the game.

Not all of us know that for any abnormal completion of client work, it usually does not work.

And the following happens, the ship hanging in space and not warp out, and if it was moving somewhere,
keeps online modules, continues to attack the last attacked the target,
and the player's nickname is in a local chat as if it online, it can be convo or you can throw a trade
(if at the time of departure, he was at the station).

It's going about 4 minutes after that the server "understands" that a player has taken off and
only then warp out is done.

On this issue, I contact support where GM said that the extra warp system runs only when the client is closed
manually, in all other cases, the operation of the emergency warp is not guaranteed.
Also, I was advised to create a topic at this forum, and associate with the CSM.

Then I experimented with the disconnection of internet connection. In all cases, the ships were hanging in space,
as I wrote above. What makes me think that for any abnormal client completing a timer, that measures a set time
and only after that, the player "becomes out" (logged off) and turn on the emergency warp ship.

I think it is unnecessary to explain that 4 minutes for the ship that hangs on anomaly, belt or even a gate
is usually death (kill). And I do not believe that the server part of the client is unable to detect the
disconnect. If in this game, all the action took place every 4 minutes, I would have understood it,
but it does not.

Personally, it seems to me a kind of "foul play" by the CCP aimed at maximizing the financial damage to players.

Actually this proposal to rework the mechanics.

Interesting, I had different experience. When internet connection was laggy because of many large downloads, I often saw myself warping out to 1M from the gate. Warp-out must have happened nearly immediately after jump given time gaps.
It might be this was triggered because of jump, and that being in belt doesn't trigger it as fast. I can see why it wouldn't - it is likely attempt to flee in the middle of the combat would be worse for you than if ship keeps doing what it used to.

It's been working as advertised for the myriad of crashes on undocking from Jita, although personally I'd rather see the latency, delays, rubber-banding and otherwise horrible performance fixed instead.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Prevention is better than a cure.

This four minute window is not well documented, or well known. Changing the establishment slightly will benefit all - including the unfortunate GMs that have handle ship replacement tickets, and all the other people in the ticket queue too.

I didn't get my rattler back when i DC'd in a mission. And at about the same time about 5% of the entire cluster left the game at once, so i doubt it was my end.

You can petition, but good luck getting any of it back. The logs will show nothing, and your reimbursement will be denied. It's why I quit EVE last time, too many losses (including PvE losses in situations where I never could have died legitimately) to problems like this where I got nothing back. We'll see if it goes any better this time.
