Alpha clones deserve some T2 weapon love to :)

I'm a returned to EVE and play a alpha clone.
Since we're already capped to fly cruisers, why also cap us in fitting properly those few ships we can use?
I didnt pvp much but wanted to try it out this time and it really makes for hours of fun (although i explode alot :p ), since omega players already have a clear advantage in the game, alpha players should be allowed to fit T2 weapons to those ships, otherwise the huge gap between alpha and omega feels like to big to cross, think about it.

Cheers all

There are meta modules that have the same capabilities as T2 weapons, just not the T2 ammo, but faction ammo can also be good, and a bit more heat damage. They generally cost a little more also (but not always).

On the module go to the variants tab and click on compare. You'll be able to see which named version has similar performance to the T2.

Nope. This has been discussed over and over. The majority seem quite happy with the Alpha limitations, and the one's doing well at PvP are proving the rest of you wrong. I know it feels at the start like t2 stuff is a must or you can't PvP but EvE is much more about tactics than raw DPS or Tracking figures Pirate

The smaller the gap between alpha and omega, the less people who need to subscribe, less revenue for CCP = consequences for all....I think you'll get the picture.

But... think about poor CCP developers and their families. They have to eat something!

Share few $ so you can enjoy the tech II technology and support the game you like. Also you can always buy PLEX with ISK if you feel like you are poor too and have a lot of time for making ISK. This way you will support the game too.

I was surprised that my Alpha clones can get T2 tank. There are a lot of players that only fly the small stuff, with T2 guns those had even less benefits from going Omega.

If you like what you have as an Alpha and want more simply sub to have an Omega.

This is the same half truth like "skills do not matter".

If it was about tactics and not raw DPS you wouldn´t have issues with alphas having t2 equipment in the first place.

So let´s stop pretending it doesn´t matter. It does but aplhas are unlimited trial, you get limited options if just for the reason so you are motivated to buy omega.

Not DPS are what makes T2 weapons useful, but T2 Ammo, at least in many cases. Especially for Minmatar players not being able to fit T2 guns hurts.

That out of the way, the deserve it how exactly? What did they do to deserve anything?

And let's say they do indeed "deserve" it - Which skills would you scratch to make room for T2 weapon skills?

I agree that alpha CLONES deserve T2 weapons.

That's why alpha PLAYERS should upgrade their alpha CLONES to omega by subscribing or buying plex.

Achieving something is more meaningful than having it handed over.

Take your butt-hurt whinings away from me unless you want to post with your main like a man. I wan't Alphas to be limited because it makes them more likely to sub and support the game i love.

If you cannot PvP successfully as an Alpha it is because your plan is bad. This is a FACT as proved by all the Alphas getting dank kills (it's not hard to find evidence of this).

In every area of EvE we get folks who think they cannot participate meaningfully until they're done waiting for (insert whatever skill here) to train. They sit in stations loudly complaining how they're too far behind the rest or how Alphas should be able to fly Carriers at birth because RAWR!

The truth is that for all the people sitting in stations spinning ships, the people really doing it right are the one's who are in space working out how to do what they want with what they have. These people don't waste time bleating on forums how the game is too hard or long or limited or whatever, they just get out there and work with what they have in the sandbox they're presented with.

If you want Omega skills it's pennies a day. That's not the point though, the point is that i have week old Alpha's making good ISK in wormhole space while i'm reading how impossible everything is for you without T2 guns.

What an interesting choice of words. Why, specifically, do they deserve them?

T2 guns would make for an endless string of gank destroyers with throw away characters, so no.
