Hey everyone, I'm pretty new and I'm having some trouble ratting with my VNI. I'm using a fit I found online and I'd like some feedback on it. I keep running out of capacitor while using my afterburner!

Drone Damage Amplifier II x3
Damage Control II
Power Diagnostic System II x2

100MN Monopropellant Enduring Afterburner
Large Shield Extender x2
Drone Nav Computer I

Drone Link Augmentor

Medium Core Defense Field Extender x2
Medium Anti-EM blah blah blah

5x Caldari Navy Wasp

Need to train your cap skills and your navigation skills.

While your skills train you could drop a DDA for a Capacitor Power Relay

What exactly do I need to train? There are so many skills Shocked

1. Download pyfa (python fitting assistant). You can find it easily in google.
2. Then you add your character to it or just use predefined 'All 5' (it means all skills at level 5).
3. Then you create your fit there and using your character or 'All 5' you look at info about ship. (if i'm not mistaken: right-click on empty space in the middle of pyfa window where you have list of installed modules, you should see menu with this item. Look around if you don't - pyfa has it!)
4. In the window 'Ship info' there is page with name 'Affected by' or something similar to it. There you have list of skills and installed modules affecting this particular ship.

What you currently need: list of skills affecting size and recharge speed of ship capacitor. Additionally look at afterburner info -> there you see list of useful skills. I believe it would be capacitor usage and cycle length (indirect reducing of capacitor usage).

Good luck

Navigation skills => there's a skill that reduce the capacitor usage for a afterburner cycle, and another cycle that add duration to each afterburner cycle

engineering skills => skills to augment capacitor max capacity and regen speed

For me, capacitor is 3:12 before depletion. Pulsing the medium reps will be stable. 575.4 dps with CalNavy Wasp (your sample set) using my missioner. A flight of Salvager drones can be used, if you're into salvage or manufacture (rigs!).

[Vexor Navy Issue, *Simulated Vexor Navy Issue]
Damage Control II ....................................... increases armor and hull resistances, good overall
Drone Damage Amplifier II ........................ 3x damage modules, optimal stacking
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Reactive Armor Hardener .................... get hit, resistance to that damage increases per cycle (up to 60% on one type!)
Medium 'Accommodation' Vestment Reconstructer I ................ or some other medium armor rep variant if cpu/pg is tight

100MN Y-S8 Compact Afterburner ................. oversized AB, my max speed was 1116m/s, slow acceleration tho
Large Compact Pb-Acid Cap Battery ............ oversized battery to keep cap stores high
Drone Navigation Computer I ........................ fast drones, lessens flight times from enemy to enemy
Omnidirectional Tracking Link I .................... drones get better aim, shoots further than usual

Salvager I ........................................................... just for flavor, can swap with civilian gun to aggro far away rats
Responsive Auto-Targeting System I ........... increase ship max target +2
Small Tractor Beam I ....................................... pull in wrecks from 20km, no need to fly there
Drone Link Augmentor I .................................. extra range so you can sick your drones on 'em further, otherwise not needed

Medium Semiconductor Memory Cell I .......... increases cap pool, which fudges your cap regen as well
Medium Semiconductor Memory Cell I
Medium Ancillary Current Router I .................. the oversized mods need a larger PG pool, this patches 'em up

The fit you posted was a passive shield buffer VNI, again, this fitting i placed together will be semi-capstable. Perma AB yes, but turn off the repairer when at full armor hp, and do mind your transversals.

Thanks a lot! I'll try this fit out.

Make sure to train fuel conservation. I never realized the difference it makes. Took mine up to lvl 3 (~20hrs)and it made a HUGE difference cap time while using AB/MWD. Also don't neglect Capacitor Management and Capacitor System Operation.
