Few things about SKIN that may be improved

Good afternoon!
I started the Support ticked, but during the conversation the GM said that i should place the topic here.

So... As the title says, I'm sure that there are few things about the SKINs that may be improved:

1) There are THREE skins available for Confessor, but NO SKINS AT ALL available for any other T3 destroyers. Why?
I suggest, at least one skin should be added to Hecate, Jackdaw and Svipul...

2) I'm very excited and eager for Serpentis skins for Hecate and Eris, but very few Serpentis skins are availble...
As we know Serpentis skins were available as a part of event (Summer 2016, if i remember right), however in the internet i read that it was possible to get only a few skins actually during that event.
* For example... I wonder if anyone in the whole New Eden has the Serpentis skin for Eris...
I suggest, that Serpentis skins (at least ones which were not available during the Serpentis event) to be added to New Eden Store.

3) I think, that the Citadels and Engineering Complexes should have SKIN available as well. Probably a lot of players and corporations may found it very excited to customize the looking of their homes.

P.S. I doubt it, but if anyone have the Serpentis SKIN for Eris or Hecate and interested in selling it - feel free to mail me ingame.

Thank you.
Serge.

My english may not be perfect and I apologize for that in advance.

Got one that beats all yours.

Let players make custom skins rather than having us pay artist that put out some of the blandest crap I've seen from micro transactions

I'd like to add:

Give us the same skins Serenity has. They have some amazing stuff.

The strange thing about the Hecate skin is it doesn't seem to exist in the market. I can see it in the ship view window, but it isn't listed when I search the market. The Blood Raider Victory skins seem to be the same.
Also, I wanted to buy the Crimson Harvest skin for my Prophecy, but I never saw in in the NES store. As much as I can remember I have seen maybe 5 of these skins, even though I checked the store every day. Were these extremely limited edition skins? Like, if you were in Vegas you got a coupon or something?
Oh, and give us the Serenity's Vexor skin please!

If you want an intelligent argument, please do, I'm up for it!

But if you want a trolling contest, I will win it by simply not participating.

No to player made skins, they would remove the whole point of Corp colours because it would be too easy to replicate an 'almost the same' skin. The only exception to that is if they do it similar to alliance logo's, minimum size, have a 'real' cost, and are small enough in number to be validated.

The thing I want to see most is to move away from skins being a per ship thing to simply being a global license. You don't have it for a Vexor, you have it for all ships. Or if we can't have that because of corp colours, at least all Gallente ships. That would get me actually spending money on skins.

And move Corp/Lore skins into the LP stores of all the corps for at least 30 day versions so that you can fly the colours of the corps you help.

wait you don't want player made skins because two ppl may have the same skin? because right now that doesn't happen?

No, because it will be too easy to replicate a specific lore or event skin or be close enough to replicating it that you can't really tell the difference. And it therefore cheapens all the lore & event skins that exist.
If however you are making them at the alliance level similar to alliance logo's there will be a minor vetting process that will stop that happening. So I'm good with alliance level skins that get vetted.

but thats the beauty of it. No more of those halff assed event skins. it's clear from what they put out the artists are far to buissy working on something else.
(how does this have anything to do with corp colors though?)

I would much rather have players making their own skins at the risk of "devaluing event skins" than not give us the ability.

but i guess you just prefer all these solid black/red/white event colors keeping their "value"

And the victory skins and the.... etc.
There are a lot more skins than the ones you are pointing at which are very nice looking.

Obviously you are fine to regard it as a fine point to cheapen those skins, but there is a valid argument against players being able to just do whatever they want with skins.

Here is my idea about how player made skins could work, that I originally posted about 2 weeks before EVE Vegas (tldr: extreme limitations).
The texture projection has been figured out since then, so I think it's definitely possible to make it.

If you want an intelligent argument, please do, I'm up for it!

Absolutely, right! The Hecate Serpentis Skin is not present in the market.
That's also a reason why i doubt that anyone actually have that skin "active" on the ship... So question is why we are seeing that skin in "ship preview"?

I would like to see empires colours on non empires hulls: caldari grey Stratios, gallente green Astero, gold Gila etc.

I would like to agree with that. I think that if players will be able to create SKINs by themselves - the space will turn into a colorful mess. So i think the best way to do that is to have SKIN "series" developed by NPC corps (Serpentis, Thukker, etc) as we have now... This will also ensure that the EVE will remain the same "atmosphere" ("spirit") as before.

And idea with "global" license sounds reasonable too!

I see it that way, when it comes to NPC corp skins:
1) If you have +2 standing with some NPC corp - you'll have access to all frigates skins
2) In case of +3 standing with the same corp - the player will also gain access to Cruisers skins
3) +4 = acces to battleship skins.... etc. that's a general idea.

Some skins may be only available in NES... Some of them may be droped as a loot...
