With max skills and a large Azbel with T1 rigs, how long does it take to fully research a Capital Component BPO? Like 150 days or so for both ME and TE to be fully researched?

An Azbel optimized for ME with T1 rig in highsec gives you ~40% time reduction compared to NPC station, iirc.

I'm my own NPC alt.

Okay, so very similar to a POS. So I think it's something like 10 weeks and 3 days or so for ME and then the same to get to the 20 TE.

I submitted a capital component print for TE 1-9 and another for TE 10 this weekend in a Raitaru with T1 ME/TE accelerator rigs.

The 1-9 job was a little over 32 days, the 10 job around 42 days. To fully research a raw print that adds up to 148 days. My characters have maximum skill and 1 of them has a full set of science implants - RR-605, MY-705, SC-805

The Azbel has a better hull bonus so it will probably go a bit faster.

Thanks for the info. Greatly appreciated.

I cannot (yet) bring myself to put a 148 day job at risk of needing to cancel it on day 147.

It isn't a 148 day job. It's two 32 day jobs and two 42 day jobs. The BPO isn't at risk because of asset safety.

Researching component prints to higher levels is generally worthwhile - the material/time savings can be substantial. For hull prints - not so much. There are a lot of situations where an extra level of ME saves nothing because you only need a small quantity of components to begin with.

There are limits - my structure component prints are ME 9 but it's unlikely I will ever put them in for ME 10!

I understand that the BPO is not at risk.

It's the time that concerns me. The thought of putting a 9-to-10 BPO into a hundred-plus day research project in anything other than a NPC....not so much, at least not at this time. What?

What made that risk acceptable for me was the difference in time and job cost. Memory tells me I saved a month and well over 100 million isk researching an Orca to ME 8. The exact numbers are up here on the forum somewhere. I'm betting that I've saved more to a year in research time over a dozen prints and hundreds of millions in job cost. Even so, I'm paying a good portion of the fuel bill in tax to the owner. If the structure blows up tomorrow, I lose a lot of research but still come out ahead. I chose to do business with a well known organization https://citadels.eve-mogul.com/ so I'm less concerned with the possibility the owner will fail to maintain the business or try to scam their customers.

Thanks for the pointer to Eve-Mogul. I've heard of them but did not know they had such a large and reputable presence.
