To introduce a feature ~ ability to dock with ship in Engineering Complex where ship has been manufactured.

this means ~ if Supercapital has been manufactured in Sotiyo, it should have ability to dock in,
of course with respective the structure quantity ~ 1 or 2 max.

Purposes :
1. leave ship there,
2. reprocess it.

nope.

the bonus of citadels is they can dock ships in undersized structures. it may seem since they can out first that L=capitals and XL= super caps but in reality it is XL = capitals and supers can not dock

I just want to be able to dock my rorq in a large. It's not like the rorqual is that much bigger than a freighter, is it?

to be fair if we want to go based on that sort of sizing the carriers fit out of the smallest ports on the Mediums (except the wyvern and Aeon they need the freighter one do to height)

my point is that's like saying "lets let any ship fit a bomb launcher"

this problem doesn't exist, but someones, maybe, want it to exist,

gaze whole idea of Engineering Complex - it allow manufacture X-class ships ~
~ if complex allow manufacture - 2x(two) X-class ships at same time,
then E.Complex has ability dock these ships into space, where those were manufactured & assembled,
it is Complex's Factory.
then it is not public docking ability & only 1 or 2x ships can be stored there & then no more same class manufacturing jobs can be done at this E.Complex.

the reason it is like this is to stop people using sotiyo's for safe supercap ports instead of keepstars which are 10x more expensive

The same flawed reasoning can be applied to your suggestion.

Bottom line is that the inability to dock supers at an EC is 100% intentional by CCP. They've already explained why they did it this way.

Why?

Even in modern days you often manufacture something in a factory that once 'released/undocked' it can not return.

Look at modern ships, especially carriers, supertankers, cruise-liners. They are built in a dry dock but once launched can not return to them, in fact they are maintained at other facilities.

I have no objection to being able to build at a facility, launch the vessel and then it not being able to return.

On another note: I would like the ability for a freighter or Industrial command ship to tether and unload to a smaller Structure, but they do not need to dock, just drop off their load.

Seems like a lot of additional complexity for no perceivable gain.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

if you have no need, have no vision about it - if it is right or wrong, possible or not - wtf you think here yourselves ?!
