Reverse Mouse Scroll for Zoom - Workaround

Just a few hours into the game and getting really frustrated with the mouse scroll zoom implementation which
is opposite to any other game I played.
I dropped MS and Logitech mouse drivers long time ago in favor of X-Mouse Button Control.
Just created an application specific profile reverting mouse scroll for Eve Online - problem solved.

It can also be changed in the game menu.

Indeed, look around options as it's there. I just honestly don't recall where, but that's just cause I never used it though I remember CCP adding it in at some point.

Just turn your mouse upside down and it should work.

Just go behind the display and look at it using a mirror.

Right on, found it in the Graphics & Display tab, reverse zoom direction.
I was looking all over the Shortcuts tab Twisted

Is there some story as to why the default is the wrong way around though?

It's just in reverse, compared to 99.9% of games lately where you zoom with mousewheel. In case of the 0.1%, people often start by setting it the way they are used to it. For me, it was the very first setting to change in EvE.
