Market Check-out Basket

I think it would be a great idea to implement a checkout basket feature much like amazon or any other e-retailer has in the eve market. I know it technically falls under Market Interface improvements, but I feel every single player would benefit from this feature, and that it wouldn't take much to add onto the existing marketplace coding.

Each ship (especially as you get larger) needs a pile of modules to fit, and it is very tedious to try and calculate the individual cost of each component beforehand to see if you have the isk to afford the entire purchase and fitting. Battlecruiser and larger sized ships often need to purchase over 20 different items just to fit.

Also, Dust 514 console players will need an improved and simplified market interface to begin with; interacting with long lists and market data on a console is going to be one of the largest sore spots among console gamers. Adding the basket will also aid them with their purchases and lessen the tedium they will face.

The only big drawback I see is if someone purchases an item that's in your cart while you are still reviewing the contents.

TAKE ALL OF MY +1s!

I was buying skills for an alt last night, it was painful, even when you don't want to browse by price because you're buying skills in an NPC school station...

I'm buying the rigging skills for him last night. Open skill category, scroll down to the skill you want, buy skill, check you haven't bought a skill 13 jumps away, confirm on dialogue box, it refreshes the page and I'm back at the top of the list, and I have to scroll down every single time.

It was actually easier to set my character sheet's skill list to display skills that I can train, right click and view market details on each one and buy them that way.

There are a million little things every day that make this game a chore to play sometimes. A shopping basket is a great idea and I'm amazed with it being the primary means of buying online, it hasn't been implemented yet

Shopping cart
Buy items
Itemized price list before confirming.
Have any unavailable items greyed out with an explanation that the order is no longer available, then have a button next to it that allows you to select an alternative, or let you buy everything else on the list. Let's not go with Eve's more expected response of dumping you back where you started with an empty basket if someone buys the last 2000 rounds of small emp charges.

This isn't even an issue. The solution to this is that the item that is out of stock isn't purchased but everything else in the basket is. Just as long as the system gives you a receipt for items purchased and kicks back a list of items not purchased.

I'm also surprised this idea hasn't received more love by all you forum readers.

out of stock? what if there are more sell orders in the same station for 1 isk more?
have fun buying via shopping cart in jita where the transaction rate might be 500 per second or something.

apart of the fact such kinds of purchase review would kill or seriously hurt market scamming which is a valid and essential part of the game.

ah yeah, I dont give a f*ck about Dust and console noobs, dust should burn in fire as punishment for not making it for PC but for crappy console!
