Very cool...unfortunately it will never happen. Why you might ask? Well...you see...creating a movie like this would require time...likely time of the devs as it would probably not be live action but CG. Once a single dev were to be devoted to doing a project like this the FiS babies would cry in protest and start shooting statues in Jita because too much work would be taken from FiS.

Otherwise it would be pretty awesome. I wonder how well a full blown CG movie of EvE released in theaters would work as a massive advertisement? Think it would draw in more players? I guess the real question is...how much time does it take the devs to make the expansion launch video's such as the Incarna vid that had several minutes of CG characters and how long would it take to make a full 2 hour movie with voice actors and the like? Cost vs reward?

I would love to see an Eve movie. It would consist of red squares shooting other red squares and lots of X's. It would be badass!

(What would also make a good scene is if the main character in order to give someone a location for a fight, wrote on a paper bookmark and jettisoned it in a can. Very futuristic Scifi.)

Seriously, I hope CCP never spends time to sell a movie, because they can't multitask. CCP would put all their employees on the preproduction and the game would suffer.

EVE would be an awesome live action TV series and you can even use in-game graphics for the fight scenes
