You'd still have NPC killing bought ships; NPCs can get 'smarter'; there would still be corps like CODE making 'rules' in high-sec, and so on. Really, I think someone is 100% afraid of this. It's FEAR (and greed), not reason.
Why wouldn't this be a win-win? Eve gets the cash (and they make sure ships are blown, as they do TODAY) and the player flies the ships he, she likes.


not really affraid just sick of games these days doing everything they can to suck money from consumers in any way possibl, what exactly is wrong with the current subscription model that we need to follow "rsi" which is just a complete s***show?

all they do is harrasment as NORMAL people(but not ccp) understand it.....


EVERY action that is intended to ruin a player a part of the game,and that INCLUDES any pve action(like killing the pve player,stealing his mission critical stuff or just bumping him) is harrasment and no pvp (as is said for NORMAL people) and should be a cause for a ban.....

One who don't want pvp should have the opportunity to avoid it.

"this is a pvp game" is no argumnet as long as there IS a pve part in here....and this part should be left alone.....for people who just want to do that part......

Why?

Because THIS part has to be as important as the strange hobby of the pvp part.....

Your idea would be P2W which is the only system that's even worse the F2P. Also how would you decide what skills should be 'unlocked'. The only skills you need to fly an Astero is Gallente and Amarr Frigate III, are those the skills you mean ?

Sociopath = eve players who like to interact in pvp by shooting anything.

Is your fear to have to low kill rates?

Is it that you fear the opportunity to loose if you have no pve fittet prey anymore?

Is it that you fear to open pandoras box filled with even MORE -sigh- mmo solo mode parts?

Is it that you fear EVE could change and you loose your neck of the woods?

This is way OFF.

It is about buying what you want / like / use. It IS ridiculous to pay, for example, for the 1st year as long as you can't fly a battleship ( i mean REALLY fly, all skills level IV. Not mentioning level V, you see that, right?). For all skills level V would be like ... 3 years of DONATIONS to EVE, to CCP? Just take a look in any BS's 'Mastery', level V. Three years min, right?

It's like "buying" a Mercedes G-Klass S65 AMG (about 200.000eur) when you're 16 because "you will get the driver's licence when 18 and you will drive it". Even if you drive it when 18, do you have any 'training' about how to drive such a car? Is this a serios post or just 'chatting"?

Most of them ARE and THINK exactly this way......

no i dont want you to go away, that means i wont get your stuff, know what really amazes me is people like you cant read the description of what this game actually is, you cant accept that someone can kill you when you are doing your own thing and you dont like it.

You blame other people because you choose not to take the necessary precautions to protect yourself and want the game changed to favour your own gameplay without any consideration for other peoples gameplay.

EVE is a full blown pvp game where you can be engaged anywhere, accept it because its not changing because you want to solo play an mmo

As a player who enjoy the PvE aspect of EVE (and exploration in particular) all I can say is that if your demands for a safer game where met I would instantly quit. Without hunters out there scouting for me and other 'prey' all the exitement would be gone and exploration would essentially become RNG Mining instead. I'd also hate to not have the possibilty to later switch roles and become the hunter instead.

You are obviously free to speak your mind but please don´t try to sound like a spokesperson for all PvE-focused players because you clearly is not.

You contradict your own argument in the same sentence... I don't think you've thought this one through.

But it sounds like you just want EvE to be another generic theme-park MMO that is space themed. Maybe you should consider playing Star Wars The Old Republic, instead of trying to change what makes EvE unique and the reason EvE players keep hanging around.

Akis Talanas, if you want to be left alone by the mean PvPers, you can be. The secret is that you have to take actions to prevent yourself being killed, the game won't do it for you. I know the idea that dying over and over is your own fault hurts your ego, but as long as you keep blaming the game you will continue to be unhappy with it. Eve is not my little pony online, this should be pretty obvious 13 years after launch.

You never met most F2P players. You never even read a word from at least 99.9% them. Most of them doesn't speak any language you do. You might have heard a vocal minority. Strangely enough, I've heard much more veteran EvE subscribers voicing their contructive criticism about the Alpha limitations than Alpha mains. I'd address some of your ideas about safe pve too, but EvE vets are pretty competent at it after 13 years of participation in similar threads. I also don't feel like derailing this one any further.

Because that would break the game in about 17.different ways. For 100e you can play for nearly a year on a sub. Just do that maybe?
