The hidden Belts

So the rorqual being forced into the advance mining belts. I like this idea and what it brings. I feel the need that we need to change things up a little since this makes it way to easy for the hard core PVPers to find the precious golden egg and pop it like it is prom night.

I feel that the current set up does not make it a challenge in locating the precious golden egg. I think going back to the when the advance mining belts were hidden and everyone needed to scan them down to locate them. this forces the PVP guy to actually do some work in locating the Golden Goose. This also forces the mining corp to find the golden goose as well back when you had to actually scan down the hidden belts.

just a thought running amok in the head.

considering a rorq can be one hit with combat probes, it wouldnt change much

you be surprised at just how difficult is it for any alliance to defend against a 40 man T3 fleet without forward planning.
Goons, biggest alliance in the game cannot defend their rorquals.
Pandemic legion, L33T pvper's cannot defend their rorqs

now that people have figured out how to kill them with ease, they are just giant sitting bullseyes that can drop good loot.
the risk vs reward on them is no longer worth it. which is why all mineral prices are climbing.

the siege cycle just kills them. even a 1 min cycle like bastion mode on marauders lets them get tackled. and with tackle ships able to cover 19 jumps within that 5 min siege cycle, even the blue doughnut intel isnt enough to avoid it.

I seem to have found your problem

this things are still successful used to bait out fleets so the risk is still very much there.

your not supposed to run with it in siege that is why they buffed it out of siege you should only be seiging if you are prepared to defend it . porpoise > orca > rorq > rorq core. each level adds risk and reward if you cant handle the risk go down a step

To be fair, if you're throwing 40 T3s at something you've caught solo, without an cyno or a standing fleet, then yes it is going to die. And it kind of deserves to for ignoring intel channels, not being prepared with a panic module and cyno, and whatever other dumb mistakes the rorq pilot has made today.

And I'm not really sure why anyone considers this a bad thing. If someone is being dumb in a solo capital, then they are going to die.

we used to have hidden belts and for some reason they decided to unhide the belts you can warp to now. I never saw anything as to why they made hidden belts no longer needed to probes but they turned gankfest really quickly in empire and made mining in traffic systems in null and low pointless as one of the first places you want to war when popping dscan and finding a barge will be the hidden belt.

Because it was to hard for the newbro. don't you ever think of the new bro?

we have been wanting this changed back since it was added. TBH it doesn't do to much to low/null but it has made mining in WH belts pointless as the risk is now huge but no real reward over LS mining
