Hate to burst Codes bubble, does not matter if you have a permit in your Bio or not, they will still gank you.

I don't know. Having a simple Google sheets file with everyone who has a permit would be good for advertising.

And it's less complicated than everyone keeping their own lists.

It's a PR thing.

With this simple change, one could look up names on the list on kill boards and see evidence of non-ganking.

And then people would be more compelled into buying the permits.

It's like when a Mafia boss realizes he can make more money by going legit than being criminals.

Also add the centralized service as an upgrade. Charge $100 million for this service.

Hell I'd be willing to help set up coordination.

Look, the New Order is an organisation which is based on mutual trust between miners and their superiors, the New Order Agents. A New Order Agent is so good at his job that he does not need those tools and has at always a perfect overview of who is in compliance and who is not. There are no mistakes, never. Therefore no spreadsheets are needed.

Also if you want to create your "Mafia thing" and just make profit off those poor miners go on. But this is not what we are going for. The 10mil ISK is not for profit, it is merely a token to show your support to the New Order. Anyone who thinks we actually make money with that is just completely silly and probably not very good at math.

Don't let me tell you how to run your business, but if you had a verifiable master list open to the public, then you'd have proof to your actions.

It would be simple. The regular permit owners would get permission to the shared master list and type in character name and date they purchased permit. Then give the permit buyer a unique permit number to put in their bio which when questioned the would be CODE enforced goes to the spreadsheet and hit ctrl+f and finds the permit number and checks to see if it's valid.

Now they don't have to conform with each individual permit seller to authentificate the permit.

Also there could be a column in case a dispute does happen that you can post a link to imagur with wallet transaction if ganging did happen by mistake so that if a person was checking kill boards that gank compensation took place.

You could even charge 100 million isk per premium mining permit "Now with verification!"

Hell, I' sign up for a permit seller for 1% commission.

Imagine the nay sayers having irrevocable proof that mining permits are legit.

It's a bit confusing, but it's to do with Freighter Mining rights, as far as I can tell by buying a permit from a CODE agent, that particular agent has forgone his right to semi-AFK, bot-aspirant mine your ship in the Freighter Belt.

Other agents, however have not yet forgone their Freighter Mining rights.

That was from the recent anthropological report, as I fly blockade runners, I haven't been able to observe CODE in practice with regard to Freighter Mining. Though, a long time ago, they did mine a capsule I owned. It had some implant minerals in it.

Clearly you missed the "Imperial Study on the Freighter Mining Practices in Uedama". Uedama being classified now as a 'Freighter Belt'. Fascinating study which compares the practice of asteroid mining to the mining of freighers; asteroids being large, unarmed objects drifting in space containing precious materials - freighters being also the same. Freighter Miners sit semi-aFK off the gates.

Fascinating read from the Empire's finest anthropologists. Highly recommend.

I know. It's terrible this published piece of scientific study has been released throughout 'New Eden' and supported by 91% of behavioural psychologists on AFK or SEMI-AFK ISK Generation Practices. More people need to listen to the 'Freighter-Mining Denial Scientists', maybe we can work together on that and find ways to disprove them, that CODE has become a mining-corporation?
