Say you have 9.0 standing with Caldari State and lvl 5 accounting and brokerage, what % taxes are you looking at in Jita?

Hope I don't mix these up like I usually do....

Fees are based on station and faction standings shown here and goes to ~0.18

Taxes are based on skills, not sure atm about the cap on that. Your thread says taxes but because you included standings I believe you meant fees. I hope this is still accurate too.

Bottom line yeah, I just want to know if both brokerage and sales tax combined at 3.17% is okay.

The best tax rate you can get at an NPC station is 3% (1% tax and 2% brokerage). You can reduce the brokerage by listing in a Citadel market but not the tax.

This is how it worked before Citadels. I haven't seen a similar graph breaking down the relative importance of faction and corp standings but the current setup is minimum fees on a sale are 3% in an NPC station with perfect standings.

That's pretty good and close to ideal. Pushing your corp standings with Caldari Navy up will eliminate most of the rest of that 0.17%.

I have 10.00 corp/ 9.76 faction standings and I am still sitting at 2.01%...I wonder when the last 0.01% gonna fall. 100 Million ISK tax per 1 Trilion ISK. Oh, wait, 1 Trillion ain't that much these days...Definitely going for 2.00%! Big smile

Aye - you only have to sell 33bil of goods a day to add up to a trillion in a month. And if you are flipping PLEX, say, you can easily run to five times that. The most I have turned over in a day was 500bil of orders, so 250bil of sales. At that rate that 0.01% in tax would be costing about 750mil a month.

Getting down to 2% is funky business. I'm at 10/10 and still get some fraction above it.

Every standings increase is a percentage of the difference between your standings and 10.0. As you get close, the law of diminishing returns sets in with a vengeance. In a analog world, you could never actually achieve 10.0 but digital computers have finite resolution. Eventually they have to round up.

That chart's now out of date. Here's the updated version: Market Order Broker Fees Chart updated 2016-04-28.
