you go to the store, find a prepaid visa card, put $25 on it, and sign up for eve with it.

Try contacting Shattered Crystal. They're one of several companies that sell EVE Time Codes (as well as time codes for many other online games). If you and they can find a payment option that works, you can convert the time codes to PLEXes and then apply the PLEXes to yout account.

Also for people who can get prepaid credit cards, it's cheaper to play EVE if you pay in US$ than if you pay in Euros. Timecodes (from Shattered Crystal and from oher place) are quite reasonably priced, though.

And yes, as the dev CCP guy said, buying a PLEX with ISK is well out of the reach of a new player.

good day people! thx for the advice people, but im sure i will be paying more for it, Example, if my government want too buy a dollar my government will pay us 42 Philippines money and if i want to buy dollar from any foreign exchange office ill be paying 50 Philippines money for it (more or less). u see ill be paying more for it and 15 USD + activation 5$ fee is a lot but not impossible. all i can do now is wait for CCP sales team to come up of something and accept Philippines money to pay game time. if not, only few people from 3rd world country can play EVEonline.

Can you purchase a prepaid credit card where you are? They work like a gift card. You buy one for a set amount, you spend it, you throw away the card when you're done. You may be able to purchase one that is in US Dollars or Euros so that you don't have to worry about conversion rates when you make the online purchase.

I got a prepaid credit card as a gift from a friend one day, apparently eve didn't like it and wouldn't let me add money to my account with it (hell, I couldn't even add it to my paypal account)

maybe you could try https://secure.eveonline.com/etc.aspx , you might be able to spend a prepaid credit card in one of those online stores and get an eve game time code (basically 2 plexes).

hmm we dont have that here, i was thinking maybe CCP can make a prepaid card like 30days card and we input the account number of that card. i remember ragnarok online what they did is sell ther prepaid and after we login there's an option where we can enter the card number. man this is the 1st online game i play that dont rely on latency, even u have 500ms u can still pvp and win

PLEX is one of the best ways to be able to play EVE without having some form of financial means to pay for the game directly. You can usually purchase PLEX on the in-game market for a fairly reasonable price, however, they might be a bit too high for newish players; you'll be the better judge of that than I'd be.

Regardless, I will let our sales team know of the difficulties Filipinos on the islands have when it comes to paying for online games. This is something they'd be keenly interested in.

I hope you find a solution that keeps you playing. And when you do play, always fly safely! :D

So I've seen 2 different kinds of replies here: 1 saying a prepaid CC would work, and 1 saying it didn't.

I would have to use this option as well, I've used them before for WoW and they've worked - although 1 time I did get a "bad" card that wouldn't work online and could only be used or swiped in stores.

I guess I"m looking for further replies from players who use or have used prepaid CCs to find out if they'll actually work before I buy one. (paypal and regular credit cards aren't an option for me)

Thanks in advance.
