Hi

Have a question regarding jump clones.

Right now i have informorph trained to 4 giving me 4 jumps clones.

i have the following clones installed at stations

medical clone - ( home station )
clone 1 ( installed ) 4 implants
clone 2 (installed ) 4 implants
clone 3 (installed ) 4 implants
1 Jump clone slot available ( currrent clone has 4 implants installed )

what i'm having trouble understanding is how i go about jumping to one of my above clones without having to use up my informorph clone slot.

this is ideally what im looking to do

medical clone - ( home station )
clone 1 ( installed ) 4 implants
clone 2 (installed ) 4 implants
clone 3 (installed ) 4 implants

Clean PVP Clone ( active and available to add implants )

i just want to be able to jump in and out of my pvp clone into my training clones but cant get my head around how i jump form active to installed visa versa without having to create a new clone

pvp clone to training clone 2 > training clone 2 to pvp clone >

hope this makes sence

When you jump, your active clone switches to whichever jump clone you jumped to.

It's no longer a jump clone, because it's your active one.

The previous active clone is now one of your jump clones.

The numbers stay the same.

Su you have:

Medical clone

Active clone

Jump clone 1
Jump clone 2
Jump clone 3

When you jump, you switch the active for one of the jump clone and put the active into the jump clone list. Effectively just the location moves.

thanks for taking to time to answer,

the clone i'm in has new implants, which i wish to add to my clone list.

I want to be able to create a clean pvp clone.
so if i wanted to jump into a clean clone would i just chose the install jump clone option instead of choosing the jump option right?

That's correct.

Install a new jump clone and that will be your empty PvP clone. After you've installed it, you can jump to it.

Obviously, these are all bound by the rules for jump clones, so you can't have 2 jump clones in the one station at the same time.

Also, Citadels offer an advantage that there is no cooldown timer between jumps. You can switch clones in Citadels as often as you like.

The disadvantage of Citadels however is that the cloning module can be offlined or removed anytime and if that happens, your jump clone there will be destroyed (including any implants it had).

So Citadels can be good on the one hand, but are balanced by that risk also.

Can be handy if you are going to roam for just an hour or two and then jump immediately back into a training clone.

Wait, hold up. So if I have a throwaway clone in a citadel, and an expensive clone in an NPC station, you're saying I can jump to the citadel's clone and still have the ability to jump back to the expensive one at any time, without cooldown?

Not quite.

https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/209985225-Citadels-Quick-Facts

If you jump clone to a clone you have at the citadel you are currently located in, then you receive no activation delay to jump clone again.

I have read that it also works if jumping between Citadels in the same system, but haven't tried that personally.

Clone swapping without a cooldown otherwise requires you be in the Citadel that has the clone you want to jump to. It's basically a cooldown free way to swap between implant sets.
