Bored during downtime, looking through Playstation Store. Searched for Dust 514, got results...

It's in closed beta just now, as far as I'm aware. And in this video, it says "coming this spring" - the video was uploaded don 18th January.

I have a specific comb for my beard.

I seen that video already...

Usually CCP lets everyone know what's going on through social media sites. Not a word has been said about the beta already being started...

Unless I missed a post...

ccp has made pretty clear on multiple occasions (usually via twitter) that dust is already running in a stable state

You have been misinformed.

It is not play to win; you get the basic kit, you earn isk for taking contracts, you can then buy stuff on the market with isk.

Or you can buy "booster packs" (following a sort of collectable card game model) with AUR, which give you hundreds of prebuilt items and a few blueprints (according to CCP)

You can only buy higher grade booster packs once you have earned the right to them. (CCP)

All this was explained at the 2009/2010 fanfest.

DUST 514 has been running in an internal closed Beta for some time now. The open beta (officially called the "Private Trials" or "Mordu's Private Trials") have not started yet - they're still taking sign ups. My guess for a start date is around Crucible 1.1.

As for the AUR on the PSN store, it's been there for a while. However, chances are it won't let you buy any of it unless you actually have DUST 514.

Confirmed. I saw the AUR on the Playstation Store, and for kicks and giggles, I tried to purchase it, but was rebuffed. I was afraid that I didn't get a beta key or something.

Seriously CCP, I really need a beta key...trust me, I'll drive the wheels off of that beta for you.
