It seems in the EC I was using the jobs are all halted. And my science jobs slots are all locked now because of it. What can I do to cancel the jobs myself and free up the slots? I am using someone else's EC who i cant seem to contact for now.

That was always my worry about using someone elses EC.

It sounds like it ran out of fuel, which will stop all the jobs.

There's nothing you can do until the owners come back about restarting them, as for recovering them, sorry mate, can't help.

But then again I am probably wrong and if so, someone will come along and correct me and help you out :)

Sounds like the services went offline, probably because lack of fuel or EC losing shield and armor.

I would expect you can cancel the jobs, losing materials, and recover any BPO via initiating asset safety recovery.

I was able to cancel them. Thank god they were only an invention job and not a big manufacturing job

Just recently something similar happened to my industry-alt. I set up some research- and invention jobs in a Citadel someone had equipped with research-related services. One day all my jobs in that Citadel suddenly stopped, and I was baffled.

Since I couldn't find a way to look at the Citadel's status from inside, I finally undocked, looked around and saw: The Citadel was already in structure and on its last timer to oblivion. Apparently someone had started blowing up the local Citadels, because at least one of the others in that system was also damaged.

Man, even though I only lost some data cores and decryptors, that was an important lesson. Until CCP adds a function to more easily find out what the structure running your jobs is doing, I've retreated my alt back to NPC-stations.

Seriously, does CCP want us to log in each day to make sure every structure we use is still working? I mean, of course if our jobs stop we know something is up, but then it's too late for our materials. Would be nice to get some kind of advance warning before our materials are obliterated. P

Is there any special step to resume halted jobs after fueling the citadel?
