Why the moon is a "he" (as opposed to "she")? Is that usual in English? Question

Havent you heard about Sailor Moon? Cool

Well at least in Spanish and Catalan it's female so ti would be a "her" (that's because Selene was the moon goddess, and also because he moon is always shifting like women, and also is a liar like... oh well let's skip that...)

So seeing the moon as a male is kinda funny. Smile

I find it very funny because we in polish language have Moon as he, And sailor is definitely a man traditionally. Lol

One more thing about the moon, Ii you have heard about Princess Sailor Moon, then it may be even stranger that Księżyc (Moon) means Prince in old polish. Big smile

So essentially its Princess Sailor Prince when directly translated in polish.

I wonder, how about the Sun? Is it male or female in Polish? In Spanish it's a "he" so Sun and Moon make a kind of space couple and there's poetry using them as metaphors of impossible love since one goes down when the other is up. Also, the Sun haves a nickname in Spain, we call it "Lorenzo" (Lawrence) as in "Hoy el Lorenzo pega fuerte" (literally "today Lawrence is hitting hard", for "the sun is very hot today".

Sun is it in polish. Same as a word "baby". It does not have a specified male/female characteristic of a word.

Well, apparently the strategy of cottage spam works wonders in Civlization IV: BTS. I am totally owning the NPCs in Noble difficulty, so much that sometimes is not fun. My spaceship is complete and I am crushing Portugal, Ethiopia and the Celts just because Portugal stopped my extermination war on the Celts by taking them as vassals when I was in WW2 tech level. So I kept researching and now I'm full tech, they declared war on China and I made China my vassal to inherit the war on Portugal and its vassals after upgrading all my veteran units. It's like shooting fish in a barrel, after so many turns at war with China none of them haves a stockpile of doom... my attack helicopters minced to bits their last tanks and that's all, they no longer have units in the field, only in cities.

Probably tomorrow this game will end with a bloodbath.

Anyway it's my beddy time, so, nighties lovelies!

Also: how about the third largest cave hall in the world, the largest in Europe, and it happens to be in Spain? Here's the Jon Arana hall from the "Torca del Carlista" (Carlista sinkhole). If you're not into speleology, skip to 2:30 to see the first panoramic picture taken of the hall, back in 2012. I was literally shouting "holy f**** God!" while watching that segment. Shocked

Needs more dwarves!

I like this cave photo. Huuuge crystals. The Crystal Cave – Naica, Mexico.

Also huge cave. Reminds me of D&D and Dark Elves.

I am now the proud owner of a Rupture and Caracal BPO at ME:10 and TE:20 on both, the projected profit ISK/h is:-

957k/hr for the Rupture
595.6k/hr for the Caracal.

I've managed source cheap mats and have just finished taking them next door to Jita into a Sotiyo Engineering Complex which houses only 5% base tax.

Which is pretty cheap as far as manufacturing goes and with the 3% additional ME and 30% time reduction on manufacturing jobs is a major benefit. So in reality the profit/hour is going to be higher, but I prefer to calculate at the bottom line as it means if the market fluctuates against me I should still always be in the green.

This means in 3 days time once my first two jobs have finished. I will have manufactured 1.09 billion isk worth of ships, and make a total profit of 57.1mil, once they have all sold.

Not amazing, but the market is pretty steady.

Think it was early December when I said I was starting manufacturing, well now my BPO's are done researching and I own a freighter and freighter pilot I can start to generate a profit. I will now be looking for other BPO's I can invest in that will turn a profit.

As the more BPO's I have manufacturing at any one time the more isk/h I will generate without actually have to do anything other than shipping materials one jump.

Best way to buy materials is to setup your buy orders 1 jump out of Jita within a trusted trading citadel and put up a buy order with a purchase range of 1 jump.

You will avoid the massive broker fee's in the Jita station and most your buy order's will still complete in Jita.

In other isk making news, I purchased 23 Kirins fit with the Co2 standard t3d Doctrine for 50mil each (1.15bil total). They currently selling on contracts for 70-71mil each, so I am making a tidy sum on them should result in a 460mil total profit.

I'm currently also shipping in 30 Omen Navy Issues which cost me 76mil each to buy in Jita. And 142mil to ship down to our Nullsec staging area. So that's a total investment of 2.422bil in ONI Doctrine ships.

They will sell for 102mil/unit.

So once all 30 ships have sold I will have made 2.918bil or 496mil actual profit after shipping cost. Not bad for just putting up some buy orders in Jita and setting up a courier contract.

Hello LAGL,

Hope everyone is doing good.

@ Taishoku Mayaki,

Gratz on your ISK Manufacturing and Trade Career, sounds like you'll be space rich very soon™.

Wish I had invested time into that aspect of Eve instead of Exploration and Standings, then I'd be space rich too.

Tbh the issue I've had is I can't get into ratting, or incursions or any other source of isk making where I need to sit there bored and shooting NPC's. And if I lose the ship before I've made more isk than I've invested into the ship I make a loss. So a 600mil ratting Ishtar at 13mil per tick turn into 52mil per hour.

So I need to rat 11.5 hours to break even with the isk I invested into that Ishtar. 11.5 hours worth of ratting is a lifetime to me, so I need other ways to make isk. I've been kinda forced into being creative.

As my goal is to be able to solo PvP lots and lots without having to worry about my isk balance at the end of the day.
