Bring back Aura for the new player tutorial, only she's evil and ganks

Too many times I have heard the following after engaging even year old players in honorable space combat.

'but that was in highsec, you can't hurt me there!'

'in highsec, must have hacked to be able to shoot me, you're gunna get banned'

'well then if highsec isn't safe, what's the point of it?'

I can only conclude that the NPE is doing new players a disservice by failing to explain to them exactly what EvE is about and how unsafe they are once they undock. I propose that the tutorials have the following change:

As they leave the rookie system they are given a warning message saying: "Ok, now you're a real player, anybody can shoot you at any time, just cause" And then once they click that, Aura comes riding in on a gank-catalyst and blows whatever ship they had to absolute smithereens. She then taunts them in local. Maybe tries to sell them a space-bridge. Just to get the message across.

Also add aura as a rare lvl 4 mission boss so that people can get revenge on her.

The benefits of my proposed changes are that people will stop crying when they die, and come out of the NPE actually understanding that they aren't 100% safe.

There once was a ganker named tisi

A stunningly beautiful missy

To gank a gross miner

There is nothing finer, cept when they get all pissy

I think they should instead fix the tutorial mission where you lose a ship to NPCs. It doesn't get the point across because it's done by red targets and players don't read the dialogue.

The mission should involve an NPC that looks just like a player who comes in and ganks them and promptly gets itself Concordokkened, then once EVE has the player's attention the tutorial agent can explain what happened and give them a free ship replacement ("this time only!").

But also it should not require you lose your ship to complete the mission. I ran the currently existing tutorial recently and took a bigger ship into the epic showdown mission, not knowing I was supposed to lose the ship. I was crushing the rats when all of a sudden my ship blows up for no reason. What should happen is the fake player starts shooting at the tutorial player with destroyer DPS and lasts about long enough to kill most frigates before the fake player gets popped by fake Concord. If the tutorial player survives, they get no free ship but also lose no ship. Win/win, lesson still learned, and no vets losing bling ships on poorly explained tutorial missions.

She should also put a bounty on you. Nobody should pass the 'test' without that beautiful "Wanted" sticker on your pictureP

Nah, it would devalue it if everyone had one.

Perhaps Aura should put a bounty on the character before the gank, then they lose the bounty when it happens (if they still have it).

I like to give bounties to folks who need some spare ISK. I give them a mil in the wallet and a mil on the bounty. It's a nice gift to get them back on their feet.
