Could you solo a C4 site in something that isn't a T3 or a marauder?

I've been using a passive rattlesnake for c3s, and I've also been messing around with Pyfa. With my fit and max skills you could take about 1,700 dps. However, the maximum dos for a c4 is 2,155 dps, and I'm wondering if it's possible to get a rattlesnake that passively tanks 2,000+ dps (short of using officer mods).

You can't do all the c4 sites in a single passive rattlesnake, but some are doable.

No local in null sec would fix everything!

Active rattle will destroy all c4 combat sites though.
You can fit for 3k dps tank and dish out almost 1k dps your self, more then enough to do c4 sites!
With a target painter, your cruise missiles will hit cruisers farily hard aswell, the only issue is thoose damn frigates, who likes to eat drones for breakfast.

Can you post the fit?

I really have no idea about the numbers but anything that gets more rattlesnakes in my wspace is a-ok by me.
Also Kieth used to run C5s in a passive rattler as far as i can recall so i assumed C4s are ok too.

Ok i looked it up, C4 combat sites top out at 1448dps, which a passive rattlesnake can pull with its eyes closed (seriously, you hit over 1550 with a T2 fit...)

The actual REAL question i'd be asking is, is it worth running a C4 site, which has RR, in a terrible embarrassment of a ship that doesnt even top 900dps?

Actually certain waves in c4s can reach 2200+ dps, which is possible to tank with faction and deadspace along with max skills. That's also why I'm looking for a great active rattle fit.

Yeh you have to go active fit or use officer mods on the passive, to get over the 2k dps tank "border".

A passive c4 fit, with about 2k dps tank and roughly 900 dps output, could look like this:

C4s pay out roughly double a C3 but with the remote reps and reduced DPS from your fit (due to increased tank demands) they'll easily take twice as long.

If you want to do a C4 for the challenge then go for it. But if you're doing it for money, you can do better (and while risking a cheaper ship) doing C3 sites.

Very true, I have several corp mate/Ex corp mates that ran lots of C4s with a passive snake. From what they have said a barracks (barracks being the fastest site in my experience) is about 45min per site. I run C3s in a active snake and can complete all sites in about 12-13 minutes (8-9 in a Mag) which means that you make more isk in a C3.

Running with a Paladin in a C4 is another thing altogether, You can do a Barracks in sub 15 minutes if you are good.

If you have a few people online you can run C5s with buffer Snakes and Logi, with 5 characters on grid a site+drifter is about 30minutes (500-600mil)
