What ever happened to remotely looking into containers?

I feel like this was very silently taken out of the game at some point. You used to be able to open the assets window and remotely check the contents of containers. Now for a while this hasn't been possible anymore. What gives? Why was this removed and is it ever coming back?

Are you talking about corp assets? You cant use "View Content" there, but you can avoid that restriction by creating an item exchange contract for that container and on step 4 of the contract creation you get a nice list of items inside the container.

View Contents doesn't work if the container is in a citadel, if I recall correctly.

Ah, well that explains that, then. One more thing on the list of stuff that doesn't work in Citadels Roll

Doesn't work on my station containers either I believe. I'll have to try again though. I have the in a regular station and I can't view contents unless I'm docked and open them manually.

I was mistaken, checked it earlier and I can open containers remotely and view whats inside. Just can't do anything with the contents.
