Imagining a fit for salvage. 1st is for Alpha, 2nd for omega. Only HS.
1:
- Sisters launcher + combat probes; (do i need combat, or simple ones work for finding wrecks?)
- 2 x tractor beam I;
- 5 x salvager I;

- 5mil MWD;
- cap battery;

- 3 x expanded cargohold II;

- 1 x expanded cargohold;
- 1 x nozzle joints;
- 1 x hyperspatial vel. II

The second:
Sisters Launcher + combat probes;
2 x TB II;
5 x Salvager II;
---
the rest similar to the 1st.

How does it look, can it be improved somehow? Thanks!

Wrecks can't be scanned down at all, not with core or combat probes.

Edit: Also, combat probes don't fit into the core launcher. They use the Expanded launcher

Correct.

You would have to scan down a ship in a mission creating those wrecks. I believe with combat probes, and an Expanded Probe Launcher. Then get into his mission, ask if you can have the wrecks. They may let you. Not every one salvages the wrecks in their missions, or even collects the loot. If not move on.

Before we got the Noctis, we had to use other ships for salvaging. I used a Cormorant, and later a Hurricane. Today, we have the Mobile tractor, but it only gathers loot, it actually doesn't salvage. (You probably would do better without it.)

The Expanded Probe Launcher almost uses up all the CPU of a Destroyer, so the Destroyer won't really work for what you want.

As an Alpha you are limited, you cannot use the Noctis. So grab a destroyer or a Gnosis. Something with a lot of high slots. The Gnosis starts with a 900 cargo size, and has 7 high slots, 6 mids, and 6 lows. It could work very well for you. You just have to get to the wrecks.

When I salvaged, I used 5 tractor beams, and 3 salvagers. That works better than 2 tractors and 5 salvagers. With only 2 tractors and 5 salvagers, the salvagers will have a lot of down time.

Always remember Tovil-Toba, and what was done there.

And keep in mind that yellow wrecks (owned by someone else) can't be affected by your tractor beams.

Noctis and team up with someone doing level 4 missions. I clear my level 4 mission sites with 30+ wrecks in roughly 5mins/site.

I would be using the small salvage tackle I rigs instead. Likely a EY-1005 implant if I was prolific dedicated salvager.

I used to salvage in a Cormorant with 4salv 3/tractor. I used cap booster and batteries. Used lows for expanded cargo and still have riggings I forgot to attach in my hangar. I personally grew to dislike salvaging after missions because of the time it took. So if you hang out in a mission hub you may find more than a few pilots that just want to blast through missions for the standings and will leave nearly all their wrecks behind. A long time ago a salvager jumped into my mission as I was leaving so I abandoned all my wrecks for them.

You are too kind. I killed the trigger for the 3rd wave of a level 4 blood raider blockade and warped to the station for a few moments and left this loot stealer alone for a bit.

If I were to make an educated guess, he didn't seem to like it.

I like to trigger all the waves and leave an MTU in the middle Twisted

Nope but the thing is, I don't speak Russian, so I did not understand what he was saying. I am guessing he was upset to lose his red-bait blinking frigate.

Yoyr T2 fit is too blinky for a dessie. You know how much the TB2 cost right?

sometimes the ship has to move fast, both warping and salvaging. that's why all the techies.
TB2 are not that expensive when you manufacture them.

Use a t1 scanning ship with scanning rigs and expanded probe launcher, sister combat scanner probes. Book mark the ships you scan down in sites in a mission hub area. After you have a few sites bm'd go back with a salvage dessie, no probe launcher, and have salvage rigs on it. Been away fron game for a while but i am pretty sure you go suspect when salvaging someone elses wrecks still. You don't want to be in a flimsy ship with a sisters probe launcher while salvaging wrecks.

Salvaging a yellow wreck has never resulted in a suspect flag. Looting a yellow wreck is what gets you suspect.
