I recently resubbed to the game and have noticed a really bad cracking to my sound that only occurs when I'm logged into EvE. I can tab out of the game and the sound bug will stop. I can launch other games and I do not have the problem. It only occurs in EvE and the problem starts off as a crackling or hissing noise to the audio only and then eventually I start to have stutters to the graphics and eventually the whole PC will freeze up and I have to do a cold restart. My video and audio is fed to my 55" Sony tv via a HDMI cable. Ironically the crackling will stop if I transfer sound from the TV to my head phones, but it will not stop the whole PC from eventually freezing up. When I first log in to EVE the sound is fine and it only progressively gets worse the longer I stay in game. I can close the game and reboot and it will be fine for a while. The fact it isn't doing it in other games is what makes it difficult to pin point the problem.

I have checked all my drivers and they are up to date. I have ran tests on my hardware and didn't get any problems. I am at a loss on what is causing this when logged into EvE and was hoping someone else might have an idea. I would appreciate any thoughts on the problem.
