Let us suppose that cosmetics are made by slave labor, rather than skilled artisans.

Now, since slaves do not receive payment that is generally in line with the services they provide, then one can suppose that the cosmetics would in fact be rather cheap.

Therefore, it is reasonable to suppose then, that the soap cannot then be overpriced. Because it is cheap.

Now, let us suppose that the soap is indeed made by skilled artisans.

Now, since artisans would receive payment in line with their skills, then, the soap may indeed be quite expensive.

But not overpriced, unless you are saying that skilled soap makers should be paid less.

You forgot that skilled artisans also use slave labour for the menial tasks that do not require fine workmanship.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

If the late Lord Ardishapur, of all people, and his recent heir, and PIE Inc., could, and still can, trust Ammatar, so do we. Dunno if that applies to the Sani Sabik heresy, but if it doesn't, it's certainly a compliment to the Ammatar. I trust Ammatar.

Can't comment on anything that happens in the Republic, but I've heard that they say "don't drop the soap" and "never pick up the soap, it's a trap", so I suppose you're right on that item.

It's a prison saying, apparently.

Also, there are many family businesses within the Republic built around the manufacture of cheap soap from animal fat. They usually add herbs and etc into them and each of these has their own divergent recipes. Yes, they are cheap. And they work in both removing grime and covering what body odour that remains with an herbal finish. Also, they are cheap. Even in the border regions.

Because oranges do not need defending: they are just awesome. It's an obvious, universal truth written in the stars!

Just accept their innate pefrection and be orangely enlightened.

Anointing with orange juice to cleanse one's soul from the wicked and vile appleness is optional.
