Hi eve forum, first time poster here.

Basically, i want to transfer an alt to a main account but wasn't sure if i will be able to use his full skills once his omega runs out. Will they be limited like a stand alone alpha account even though my main character will be omega?

The account i'm thinking of transfering him to will be running an omega. Just wasnt sure if his skills will be limited. Wanted to be able to use my alts skills once he returns to alpha ( as long as the account has omega on the main character?

hope that makes sence. any advice would be appreciated.

thanks and happy new year to you all.

An account has three character openings. If the account is paid, they will all be Omega abilities and get those skills and powers.

If the ACCOUNT become Alpha, all three characters will also be Alpha skilled until such time as you pay for an Omega account.

Unless paid for, only one character on the ACCOUNT can train.

Yes.

But only one character in that Omega account will be able to train. If you want to train the alt you must pause the main (if you have a main on that account), or you must pay extra to activate dual or triple training on the account.

Otherwise, yeah, all 3 character slots are treated as Omega if the account is Omega. With respect to skill or ship limitations.

i understand about the dual training limitations.

another question i have is regarding the skill extractors.

im aware that you cant extract skill points from a character till its reached 5.5 mill SP. once the character reaches 5.5 mill and you use one extractor, wuld you then need to get the SP back to 5.5 to be able to extract those skill points again?

Yes, an extraction can't drop you below 5 million. My understanding is that Alpha skills cannot be extracted - any extracted SP must be paid for.

Alpha skills cannot be extracted by Alphas. This means:

- brand new Alpha characters that only have Alpha skills cannot extract at all
- old characters that have a lot of skills but have gone Alpha can extract other skills but not the Alpha ones

Omega characters can extract any skills, including the Alpha skills, as long as they don't go below the 5 million SP mark.

I have completely drained a character except for Trading and Refinery skills; I definitely wiped out the Alpha ship skills, and when the account lapsed to Alpha I was able to add those to the queue to train back up, slowly. If your account is Omega you're not limited to what you can extract (other than the 5 million mark).
