My computer crashed while the EVE launcher was open and now looks like this everytime i start it:

I tried:

  • Verifying game cache. Result: 0 corrupt files, 0 extra files. Did not fix the launcher
  • Downloading a new lauchner installer and trying to overwrite the broken lauchner files with new ones. I got error message: Installation already exists in this directory. Please use another one.
  • Using the repair tool as some threads suggested, but there is no repair.exe in the laucher directory and the one from the website doesnt work

What can i do? I dont want to do a complete reinstallation, downloading 4GB with my current connection would take forever and put me over the data limit.

I finally found teh cache of the launcher. Its in "C:\Users\>NAME<\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\cache\QtWebEngine\Default\Cache".
If you delete all files in that folder, the laucher will download new files that work.

Problem solved.
