Was anyone even living there anymore?Nobody cared about Eha. I think it is bigger news that Vlil(you know the longest held system ~7 years) fell. And yes villore accords are also still active, on zkill they just there next to bebop. I know most of the people in vlil have sold their stuff, and are moving to new staging systems a bit away, so would assume the same for the Eha people, as the Eha citadel will be destroyed soon. Calmil succeded in spreading our forces thin, by attacking on multiple fronts, and as a alot of veterans(ahem ahem RonPaul) has left Galmil due to boredom etc. the manpower, strategic superiority(Brain drain) and morale was just not there. It's the same for all factions, Cal Mil in Amarr space tend to be Awoxers just as Gal Mil in Minmatar space tend to do and vice versa. Each of the 'genuine' groups in factional warfare know who to talk to if they want to get stuff done.

Still have an unwieldy amount of LP to finally offload so no pushback yet please gal mil :p.

Most interesting part of this current swing, is that we see cal mil pulling 30k+ VP numbers (30-40% more than typical gal mil peak VPs), and those same people no doubt smashing lvl4 missions when they get the chance (though ive not been on to verify that), yet they will be some complaining about the extended deflation of cal mil LP due to the quality of the items lol.

Blame CCP for making grids on-grid. It killed alot of galmils elite solo pvp crowd lol.P

Ive not played in earnest since the camera was changed. Thats about 6 months before the boosts were removed.

Its hard to explain to people who dont put much demand on it but the new camera is still massively inferior to the old one in terms of accuracy, situational awareness and even manual input.

It just makes the game less fun to play.

Boosts are still usable since they dont really need to be on grid for short dunks afaik. Though ive not really looked into them.

Ill just service my accounts and accumulate SP until the unlikely time CCP restores my confidence that they are competent and fix the fluffy of poorly executed changes to core gameplay features that started a long time ago with the unified inventory.

And also performance. If I play from laptop, I see black screen for good 30-40 seconds after first undock. And FP also went quite low...

Overall I think, that gal mil was top dog for so long, that it became really boring. So much too many pilots went to piracy, large part of the rest saw Aivonen siege as "we won Eve, can go home, nothing more to achieve here". Active playing corps like Aideron Robotics and Rapid withdrawal are busy with neverending teaching of new pilots (so south is more or less stable), rest is not that much interested in war zone, IMHO. But I can be horribly wrong here.

CCP made alot of bad changes and the camera is one of them but I've learned to "cope with it". But I'm not referring to you alone when I talked about elite solo pvp dying with on-grid links since I've known alot of people either shying away from pvp or just plain quitting when grids became on-grid.

ccp was just listening to the player base and execution changes as the players demanded. guess what. links go by by yo.

so time to git gud. Good to see the caldari no how to fight without links and taking major gallente home systems these days

Why are you happy that im crying about the camera changes?

Boosts are still very usable even for off grid purposes for the timescales that i would need them. But why play the game if my accounts can sustain themselves without me logging in, and when i undock it feels like im fighting the camera to do things that used to be much easier, like, hilariously, looking up and down takes twice as much effort and thats just the tip of the iceberg.

pfft, peeps still crying about the camera???

Camera Settings,

uncheck all the boxes, move bottom slider all the waaaay to the right to Stiff.

Click apply....

There you go, the non-cinematic/special modes works exactly like the old camera.

Theres far more wrong with the camera than stiffness.

-It takes 2x the input to look up and down than to look left and right.

-Its max zoom out is far less than the original camera making situational awareness of large grids more difficult.

-The number of increments between zoomed in and zoomed out is about half the number of the original camera. And the bulk of these increments are within 10km of your ship model. This leads to a very uneven control of zoom when using a ratchetless scroll wheel mouse. And with any mouse makes piloting at even medium ranges hard because you zoom one increment in, and you cant see many hostile, you zoom one increment out and the hostile are too far away and now you are required to do more camera movements to judge hostile distances with parallax.

Non of these things can be fixed within the menu. They are design choices aimed at polish over performance.

As i said, its very difficult to explain how very bad the camera is to people who dont put much demand on it. The new camera does not make the game unplayable. It just makes it less enjoyable for me to play. Im not aware of any player/gameplay centric improvement that came with the new camera for anyone not using carriers.

legit every time you speak i keep asking myself how high are you.

the stuff your crying about has an easy fix. and tbh you just need to get adjusted to the new way of doing things. the new camera is good. cant find any problems.

Don't you have somewhere to be and complain about the Amarr LP shop?

There are no fixes for any of the things i listed.

Im not going to continuously accept change after change that give us replacements to core mechanics in an inferior state to what we had for no other reason that CCP are willing to settle for less because 90% of people wont care.

And again, i understand if you have never really put much demand on the old camera, the new camera will be perfectly satisfactory. I expect you dont know what your lost if you just do basic inputs from the overview or selected item window.

what about how much **** it is? sure i guess i can complain about that for the first time ever. lets seeeeee hmmmm

amarr the capacitor warfare race. minmatar has all the faction mods concerning capacitor
we get some excellently average cap transfers or somthing, same with our neuts and nos extremely average not worth buying ever.

amarr and gallentee supposed to be the 2 most advanced races in the game lore wise
but when it game to their own 'special' ewars gallente got faction sebos and amarr didnt.
minmatar for some reason got capacitor batteries and amarr didnt (amarr the capacitor warfare race)

gallente got propulsion jamming modules and amarr didnt
infact all the races have a propulsion jamming modules and amarr dont

what does our lp store have? armor. ok. but so do gallente. minmatar and caldari have shield modules of their own so tank wise thats kind of even.

we have alot of faction weapon systems. that are still useless since their inception. i think i remember reading that they were going to make faction weapons able to use t2 ammo or make them straight up better somehow. or something. idk what ever happened to that?

so yeah once and probably only time im gonna complain about how **** the amarr lp store is just for you. k thx bai.

It has fallen but there were plenty of good fights, at least in my view.

Caldari Militia fought well. Citadels certainly had an impact in the way this went, but as they say adapt or die.

Gal mil lives on.
